I hadn't even put two-and-two together that the director of Wandavision is doing F4.
Considering how much I love Wandavision, I was super thrilled when Shakman was announced as the director of Fantastic Four. Between him and the cast, I'm pretty hopeful we'll finally get a good Fantastic Four film.

Well, at this point superhero movies are really like Westerns: a niche product and only a few truly exceptional or notable ones will succeed.

Here is a scene I would love to see in the Fantastic Four movie. Of course, this scene would be only possible if set in the present day, but I picture a news segment profiling this new super team, the Fantastic Four. During the segment they interview three known superhumans and ask them what they think about this new team, with the three superhumans interviewed being Jennifer Walters, Luke Cage and Scott Lang, all characters who served in the Fantastic Four in the comics. It would be both a fun little wink towards the comics and a way to tie the story into the larger universe.

I stand by my opinion that Fantastic Four (2005) is a decent movie with a great cast that is let down by a mediocre script. I also think that the Corman Fantastic Four was much better then it had any right to be, and is definitely a better movie then Rise of the Silver Surfer or Fant4stic.

As for the director of the new film, I don't have much of an opinion. Wandavision to me is half of a great show that follows half of an awful show, but I think its early episode problems came from the scripts not the director.

Daredevil Born Again news involving the Punisher...

Set photos and video show The Punisher, or at least someone dressed as The Punisher, as we can't tell if it's Jon Bernthal or not...

... Seemingly murdering The White Tiger.

I have to say that between The Marvels end credit sequence, Deadpool 3, the Fantastic Four and Daredevil Born Again, I'm starting to feel something about the MCU that I have not felt since Endgame... A real sense of anticipation towards what the franchise has in store for the future.

I stand by my opinion that RotSS is the only FF movie even remotely worth watching, and even that is still just mediocre.

"The Incredibles" used the 1960s setting quite well. And it really was an FF movie, was it not?
I thought the idea of the FF as "A Hard Day's Night" would be trickier than just the 60s setting but it sounded like an intriguing approach.

The reason they had to rewrite the 2005 FF movie so much was because ideas they had for it were too similar to the Incredibles, IIRC.
Has that been confirmed? Seems wild that with just months between them that they would be making major changes to FF. The Wiki page for the movie links to an article with some "insiders" but I don't see much beyond that.
