I just did a search for "Popeyes starting pay." Here's what popped up from indeed.com:

Average Popeye's Restaurants hourly pay ranges from approximately $13.99 per hour for Crew Member to $16.83 per hour for Shift Manager. The average Popeye's Restaurants salary ranges from approximately $50,000 per year for District Manager to $59,177 per year for Restaurant Manager.

Yeah, I can't imagine they're attracting the best and brightest with that level of pay.

About 10-15 years ago, the voters here in Washington State passed an initiative that made into law the minimum wage must keep pace with inflation. Every January 1st the minimum wage in Washington state goes up. We currently have the highest starting minimum wage in the country at $16.25/hr. and some cities start at $20-22/hr

It started in 2019, so 5 years. There was a long hiatus between S1 and S2 (Jan 2020 - Jun 2021 - ~18 months) followed by a more reasonable break from S2 to S3 (Oct 2021 - June 2022 - ~8 months). Then they moved the show from CBS network programming to Paramount+ for Season 3, which ended in August of 2022.

With no start date of S4 (that I'm aware of), it has already been another 18 months and could likely be up to 2 full years before we see it.

WBD doesn't own the CW, Warner Media sold it to Nexstar.

It's really not gonna matter here in the Seattle market. The CW no longer airs on Channel 11 as part of a dispute between Nexstar and the company that owned Channel 11 and other CW stations.
The CW got moved to the former Univision Channel which is owned by Sinclair Media and re-branded The National Desk, a 24 hour news channel that's trying to become the next Fox News, with the CW programs airing from 8-10pm.
And Univision had a weak over the air signal and a high Channel number on the cable/satellite package, so good luck trying to find it, it you want to watch it.

Fisherman take nets often on fishing boats to help catch fish. They would often use the phrase 'Lets get the nets working." when they wanted to catch some fish. Over time this was shortened to "networks" so now they will just something like 'deploy the networks" when they go to work.

Well, speaking as someone who was a fan of the show at the time and wasn't entirely sold on SR they're not exactly wrong...

I mean, it had many, many other problems, but I think a case could be made that it was viewed particularly negatively because of the contrast with Smallville.
