Hot Fuzz is *beautifully* put together. Everything pays off. It's a masterpiece of scriptwriting.

I love how in the beginning of the film Nick Frost’s character asks Simon’s character if he has ever done a whole list of things, and he says no. But by the end of the movie he has done them all.

Battle Beyond The Stars is probably the absolute corniest film that I love.
I love how Robert Vaughn plays almost the same character he played in The Magnificent Seven - and even has some of the same lines!
(not surprising, since they're basically the same film anyway

I love Smokey and the Bandit, Cannonball run, and yes, even Gumball Rally.

A remake of a remake. Even though I chipped out the TV commercials when BATTLE ran on NBC, I only remember Vaughn's death scene. Was he prone to nightmares there too?
IIRC, no, he wasn't.
Fun fact: Bill Paxton worked on the film's sets. He didn't act in the film, but he did carpentry and painting.

Red Sonja (1985). Probably because of a lot of other fantasy movies of the time were more bloody and brutal, which is not to my taste.
I can't remember when I saw it last, but I think Lynch's "The Elephant Man" from 1980 is pretty straightforward.
