The corniest film you inexplicably love

I love how in the beginning of the film Nick Frost’s character asks Simon’s character if he has ever done a whole list of things, and he says no. But by the end of the movie he has done them all.

<Quote>I wish the very best SNL sketches could reach one-tenth of HOT FUZZ's quality. It's the funniest movie in the last 50 years without Kevin Kline..</Quote>

Fish called Wanda??

Battle Beyond The Stars is probably the absolute corniest film that I love.

I love how Robert Vaughn plays almost the same character he played in The Magnificent Seven - and even has some of the same lines!

(not surprising, since they're basically the same film anyway  )

A remake of a remake. Even though I chipped out the TV commercials when BATTLE ran on NBC, I only remember Vaughn's death scene. Was he prone to nightmares there too?

Red Sonja (1985). Probably because of a lot of other fantasy movies of the time were more bloody and brutal, which is not to my taste.

The '84 Dune.

Takes 80's cheese to a whole new level. What a time to be alive!

And it has the added advantage of being the only David Lynch movie where I can understand what's going on.

I can't remember when I saw it last, but I think Lynch's "The Elephant Man" from 1980 is pretty straightforward.
