New titles on sale at Amazon for 99p:

TOS - The Savage Trade by Tony Daniel
DS9 - Ascendance by David R. George III
TNG - Rogue Saucer by John Vornholt
TOS - Strangers from the Sky by Margaret Wander Bonanno

I’m assuming these are the December releases discounted early.

The rest of the sale items are out now:
TOS - The Joy Machine by James Gunn
TNG - Masks by John Vornholt
TNG - The Eye of the Beholder by A. C. Crispin
TOS - The Wounded Sky by Diane Duane
TNG - Into the Nebula by Gene DeWeese
TOS - Ishmael by Barbara Hambly
TOS - Dwellers in the Crucible by Margaret Wander Bonanno

The two books with Sky in the name are top tier Trek stories.

I am still hoping for Sword of Damocles to come down from $16 to a more reasonable price.

That’s a very good start for me, as I don’t already have any of those four in eBook (and only have Strangers and Rogue Saucer in print copies).

Update: I just saw the rest of the list. Five of those additional seven I also didn’t have in eBook (everything except for Ishmael and The Wounded Sky). So, a very good month for me: nine!

Sorry for my absence from the forums. I have still been really sick with Covid for almost 13 days with 5 vaccinated shots under my belt. It has been beyond rough.

I just wanted to wish everyone on the forums a belated Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!!!

I will update this post if more ebooks become available.

All the very best to all in 2024!

Happy New Year to all. The listed books are on featured $0.99 sale price for the first time. Also on special - but for $2.99 - The Biography of Patrick Stewart.

I hope you feel better, Koric!

Deny Thy Father is one that I feel is underrated in these parts. Is it just because people are not fond of Pulaski and Kyle Riker?

Sorry to hear you’ve been going through that, @Koric . I hope you’re feeling better soon!

If I’m remembering correctly, it was my least favourite entry in The Lost Era series (admittedly, a strong series), and the only one I didn’t really like overall. I don’t think it was due to the characters. There just seems to be something with Jeff Mariotte’s writing that doesn’t gel with me; I didn’t really care for The Folded World or Serpents in the Garden either.

Looks like just six for me this month (which is still six closer to me having them all):

The Tears of the Singers
Pawns and Symbols
Mindshadow
Twilight’s End
Unification
Mosaic

All of these six are ones that I already have in the original print versions (so no change to my “Don’t have in either format” total (182) or percentage 24%).

Moves me up from 245 to 251 on my Kindle editions (not enough of a change to bump me up a percentage point from last month’s 34%.

By the way, The Tears of the Singers is one of the better TOS numbered novels out there (I gave it 4/5 stars).

Hello all,

Thank you all for the kind words and encouragement. My thanks to all, especially @Avro Arrow @Smiley @AygoSquirrel @BillJ

This virus is beyond nefarious and being disabled doesn’t help either. But i am trying. Thank you all for caring and understanding. I truly appreciate it. Losing and or diminishing your sense of taste and smell is beyond frightening. Everything tastes like eating food thru a cloth is the only way to describe it. Other times I can taste salt but not specific spices. I was drinking hot cocoa and kept tasting a sweetner like splenda but it had real sugar, Regardless I am trying to push thru it and feed the covid as much as possible to keep my strength up.

Everyone on these forums are incredible people, and I am honored and grateful to know you and interact with you as we do on the forums.

Back to business at hand...

The official webpage for the January 2024 Trek deals is live:

https://www.simonandschuster.com/p/star-trek-ebook-deals

The January 2024 deals are good until February 4th 2024.

Oops I didn’t realize @Obsidian_Phil had already posted the S&S webpage link, but I included the end date for the deals just in case.

Also just an FYI the novelization to Star Trek Voyager: The Caretaker by L.A. Graf of the first episode will finally be releasing for the first time in ebook on 1/9/2024 for $9.99. Almost in time for the 30th anniversary of the premiere of the first episode of Voyager. Another glaring omission to our Trek ebook collections will finally be filled :)

Thank you again all for your kind and encouraging words. You are the all the best!!! :)

Hmm… I guess those aren’t going to be added to the U.S. deals this month (the different list of ones on Amazon U.K.).

They're all standalones; they have some overlap, but each tells a separate story focusing on its title character, and at least in the case of the McCoy and Spock ones, those stories span decades. And the McCoy book was the first one to come out.

Also, the books were deliberately not connected to the larger Pocket novel continuity that existed at the time, since they were an anniversary event meant to be accessible to readers who didn't usually follow the novels. So they require no foreknowledge of anything but the original series itself.
