attention girls: embrace your inner...

I bought some mascara and eyeliner today. I'm quite looking forward to trying wearing a little makeup. (It does seem like it'll take a little practice to get it to go on where it's supposed to be without getting it all over the rest of my face.)

Good luck with that! It's a skill I've never mastered.
Ah! Exactly the supportive, encouraging type of comment I was hoping for. :)

I think I must have missed class the day they taught "girlie" things - I'm no good at walking in heels either...

just remember not to rub your eyes. :D

mascara is pretty hard to mess up. it takes a bit to figure out eyeliner, though. i've actually had much better luck using eyeshadow as liner rather than liner itself.

Hi.

Speaking of make-up, I'm rather annoyed with Mary Kay atm. They've gone and changed their compacts and made them magnetic. Yep. They now hold the magnetic tins of make-up, and are completely versitile so that you can create the compact that you want and change it up to be something else as your needs change.

Sounds great, actually, doesn't it?

Except that all my MK color is the "old" style. Anything new won't go with what I already have. I really don't like it when they "new and improve" stuff that works just fine the way it is.

are you going to practice a bit before actually using it? it might help you figure out how best to fold/insert/etc.

I don't actually *have* it yet.

I've only ordered it, and I'm not even sure that my order went through, and even when it comes I'll have to go to Ottawa to pick it up...

(That does sound like a good idea, though.)

It is. I wish I had thought to practice first. Oh well, live and learn...

if you don't practice, at least be in the shower the first time you try to put the cup in.

oh, and cut your nails.

This way you're less likely to have the thing flip out of your hand and fly across the bathroom. Not that that's ever happened to me...

I can't imagine having to explain a DivaCup to DH. I'm sure if I tried, he'd immediately go deaf.

Oh the fun of having "complicated plumbing"!

me: no, it's for cleaning.
him: cleaning what?

you can see how this ends poorly for him...
