Missing 32" Enterprise finally found...

A lot of people have voiced their opinion on how bad the 32" model looks! It looks outstanding, glad it survived and surfaced. Just stabilize it, remove what was post show and leave it alone in my opinion. To "restore" it you remove all that history. It is only original once....don't mess it up!

I consider that a real shame. Lord Bezos should flaunt his impressive wealth with a nice plaque in a display someplace that says "On loan from the Jeff collection."

Last I heard it was on display in the Blue Origin lobby. No obvious way to book a tour of the place I could see.

I think loan rotation among museums is not a bad idea at all. It could also be done with the D-7. Re-create the Rom-Bop, and it would make a nice trio for display.

I think the 11-footer needs to stay where she is.

I would cringe every time they were to crate and transport her.

Clean PINE SOL () and dirt off, fix all cracks, straighten and support nacelles. Put bottom sensor back on. Repaint where needed and retain as much original paint as possible. Replace decals.

Decals look great! yellow and all, just touch up the missing parts......it will never look authentic with all new crisp decals.....If they want to make a pristine show used replica scanned from this model, yes go ahead, but leave this original as can be.......my opinion

3.presently, ST is so old but not too old that a few fans are old and rich enough they can afford it and put it away forever. One of them will do exactly that.

Even if it goes into a private collection it would still pop up again after that person dies in the next auction.

The way this often works with art is, someone buys it, puts it on long term loan to a museum and then when they need a write off on their taxes they tell the museum, "hey, I'm donating xyz to you this year".

Great news. So glad Rod is gonna have it restored and hopefully he can get it in the Smithsonian.
