Spoilers ST Lower Decks - Starships & Technology Season 4 Discussion

- The one Delta Shift guy has an eyepatch? Guy likes Martok? Is skipping over a replacement allowable in Starfleet? IT's an EYE, but the segment ended with cloning a replacement for a non-bleeding leg.

It could be a problem with regenerating the optic nerves. Star Trek has had episodes where they can't fix certain nerves so Delta Shift guy and Martok's eye might no longer be replaceable even with a device.

Someone from the future arrives and mentions that the Yosemite II was in the shuttle bay for a particular event. But when that events is happening, that shuttle is missing. So someone repaints a shuttle to be the Yosemite II to keep the continuity of the timeline intact. Later the actual shuttle returns, and no one remembers to repaint one of them into whatever it was before.

I want several of these =D

Thanks for grabbing and sharing all these screen caps!
Based on the look, the new captain's yacht looks almost exactly like the Sovereign-class captain's yacht, minus the nacelle pylons. I wonder, if I have a spare Sovvie yacht, whether I could mod it into the Freeman's yacht...

The Orion's Tendi ship from the end of the episode is based on the Orion pirate ship from TAS and also recently appeared in the Star Trek: Defiant comics.

Yeah, the nacelles are also a little droopy and not horizontal like on the Cousteau.
If I had my Steamy and Cousty EM ships here with me, I'd recreate those shots :D

The one we saw before was already pretty evocative of a slightly rearranged Sovereign yacht, I'd just chalk it up to evolving art-style and production resources, probably combined with being depicted by a CG model and not a hand-drawing nailing down the details and proportions more.

I'd just like to know where they keep it, it's not plugged into the outside of the ship like usual, there must be some hidden drop-bay inside. I suppose that would have some advantages, including that they could give the ship a modified Sovereign/Lamarr yacht, or anything else that would fit, rather than being committed to whatever design was made in parallel with the California-class.

I'm not a fan of dedicated cut-outs for any Captain's Yacht.

Just make the Captain's Yacht fit a standard Shuttle volume and park it inside the Shuttle Bay, give it a "Dedicated Parking Spot".

But outside of that, you shouldn't have a 1-off bay for it, that just seems very wasteful of a incredibly limited volume of space on a StarShip when you have a giant dedicated Shuttle Bay.
