Does the transporter make a sound in-universe?

In 'Blakes Seven', whenever someone teleported there was a very specific musical sting which my brother and I associated so strongly with 'beaming' that whenever we beamed in play we'd sing the little "Bum bum badda da dum!" sting, as though it was in-world.
Same with the 1990's "The Tomorrow People" and it's 2013 Remake as well.

There was a very unique SFX & VFX for teleporting.

I love this. I haven’t seen B7 in years but I know exactly what you’re talking about.

I saw Blake's 7 on PBS in the '80s, the same time that Doctor Who was regularly run on PBS stations. But I haven't seen it in ages.
When I was in college the local PBS station had a nice Sunday night block that was a rotating mix of UFO, Space 1999, Secret Agent, The Prisoner, Blake’s 7 and Red Dwarf, plus even more obscure British shows like Space Cops, Survivors and I’m sure some other ones I’m probably not remembering (Doctor Who was on Saturday night).
