I never thought Clint Barton was bland or boring - just underused. I thought Kate would end up being the one to carry "Hawkeye". But I was happily surprised to see that the series did Clint justice. And both Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld had great chemistry.

I thought many heroes were underused but they still managed to have a bit of personality but not Clint

And Clint just randomly shows up. Nothing about his progression seems incremental. It's not like Tony or Thor

Plus I don't get the whole relatability issue. Not having powers doesn't make one more relatable. Imo it's about having realistic emotions and relationships. Thor does than way better than Hawkeye or Black Widow, for example, despite being powerful

Thor has more realistic emotions and relationships than Clint? Huh. Find that hard to believe, especially after the last 2 Thor movies.

And comics are definitely capable of more than black and white thinking. That's not Hawkeye's issue. His issue is being a kill all criminals type generic death wish vigilante
So, like a comic book? Because I see that a lot with a lot of different heroes.

Look, you don't like Clint. But, he's still an enjoyable character for others. I like Thor too, until Infinity War made him very poor.

I don't like Tony until Infinity War, which was an interesting twist.

Scott is just a pain in the ass. He is not entertaining, funny or enjoyable.

I guess Clint's "blandness" is part of what I like about him, he's not a billionaire with a suit of armor, or a god, or a guy who turns into a rage monster, he's just normal guy who happens to be good at archery and that's what I like about him.
Yes, indeed.

Thor was engaging in the original film and Avengers. After that it waned until he Infinity War and it became a mess.

Is it me, or am I getting the sense you dislike Clint?

I believe Mr. Mike would Thanos Snap Clint as fast as he could.

Infinity war didn't make Thor a mess. Idk how you arrived to that

I never said people shouldn't like Clint. I said I don't like him. And comics' heroes usually don't kill (and rarely murder) people so Idk what you're referring to

That's a joke?

I'm trying to find some humor in something I don't like

But tbh AoU was full of jokes that didn't land. My least favorite avengers movie due to several reasons (bad jokes, repetitive action scenes, Tony regressing, Ultron underwhelming, Clint's family, Nat + Bruce)

My top tier is Cap, Wanda, Strange, Shang-Chi and Carol with T'Challa,Vision and Spider-man just below that and Kamala probably joining the list soon assuming they use her well in the movies.

Good list. Shang chi was the best origin movie since iron man and Carol is overhated

The only major reason the "fans" hated on Carol so much was that she wasn't there from Phases 1 or 2 and she didn't start out as a secondary character like Natasha and Wanda did.

Plus some got triggered by Larson due to her rather basic statement about diversity in film criticism
