Oh, I guess I forgot to mention, but Whistl seems to use other services for the actual shipping (usually Landmark), if you use the supplied tracking number with the actual shipping service's website then it works much better.

Yes, the app I use to track deliveries doesn't actually work if I set the courier to be Whistl but it does if I use Landmark. Looks like international orders are still going via Whistl's intermediaries.

seems like them using Royal Mail to ship actually is faster than Whistl that they used before. And the online tracker actually works.

Whistl seem to have handled my latest purchase while internally within the UK, I paid the customs charge on Thursday evening, it’s now being handles by An Post and will likely get here on Monday morning.

I think all of that stuff has been released already, and most is currently in stock. I don't know why they even bother with midweek drops anymore.

yeah, at this point they could probably go back to bi-weekly Friday only drops and not really miss a beat.

I think it would be a bit better for sales, as it gives people time to recover from the previous drop and maybe get excited and buy something they otherwise wouldn’t just because they hadn’t been bombarded with constant drops.

So here's a question – is anyone taking the opportunity to get extra orders of one ship? I have a lot of them from my Eaglemoss subscription the first time around, but I've ordered a couple of ships again just so I can have a display model on my desk while the original is tucked up neatly in its box somewhere.

I ordered an extra Vancouver thinking that, since they sold out so quick, I might be able to get back a little extra for my trouble. Nope. The bottom dropped out of the market on eBay and I barely broke even. Never doing that again…

I bought another Disco Vulcan Cruiser, because my original one managed to get crushed, but I think I got it from RealMerch not MR. I also snagged an extra TOS-R Orion ship for $12 with the thought to try and modify it into the SNW version.

Got my Yosemite Shuttle today. Very cool, I was expecting it to be heavier though. Pleasantly surprised it’s not.

I noticed on their website they added some new tabs, one of which is "small restocks", ships they hadn't had previously, but don't have enough to be announced as being part of a drop. How is that different from the "flash drops"?

It’s funny to me that they’re bothering to do this with the Pralor ship and not one of the Enterprise XLs or something more desirable. The alien of the week ships usually don’t sell that great, I’m pretty sure if it got listed as part of a normal drop it would languish in stock for weeks.

I’m thinking that people who normally wouldn’t be interested are trying to buy one to flip on eBay since it’s “rare”. I’m 100% convinced that if they just listed it as a normal drop it would have been available for weeks.

Honestly at this point just buy an extra Cravic ship and spray paint it grey. The base already says “Pralor” lol…

I’m sure the demand is simply because there are only 480 in existence.
