VERY SHORT TREKS...

The Orville did an episode a few years ago in which their android character misunderstood humor, and carried off a cruel, gory practical joke. This bit with cartoon Spock thinking a transporter accident would be funny is somewhat similar.

I'm surprised no one has commented on white Michael Burnham, that was a bold move on their part.

All we need now is Captain Archer and Trip doing this ...

I'd pay good money to see that, and they can crack crude jokes about T'Pol.

I think that is just a random officer and not Burnham. It was nice to see Saru where is future Starfleet outfit. My guess is when Georgiou returned her time she stopped off first here and give him a gift. Since the timeline will be changed it's not like this Saru will someday end up in the future.

I didn't see Burnham anywhere.

Is Peck's voice close enough to Nimoy's to make Animated Spock credible,?
Peck's delivery is staccato and much faster than Nimoy's. It's not necessarily bad, it's just different.

I think it's a little distracting, but then again, I'm a senior citizen. :techman:

Honestly, I think Quinto was closer - IIRC, he intentionally adjusted his voice to replicate Nimoy's Spock back in '09. Peck's portrayal is similar, but not as close to the mark, which is fine. Neither Pine nor Wesley have Shatnerian deliveries.

There can be only one Shatman.

It does kinda look like they may have drawn Burnham, realised she wasn't there then changed her a bit to make a generic white background character.

I've really enjoyed both of them now that I know that they exist, and look forward to next week.

The TAS animated style works well, and Peck's such a funny homage to the way Nimoy voiced Spock in TAS. :D
