I'm still sad that Loki didn't slip in a reference when Mobius reviewed Loki's history with a comment like "He got better."
My kingdom for a single reference to Coulson surviving.
"The Marvels" will be the shortest MCU movie to date. Run time reportedly clocking in at 1 hour 33 minutes (without credits)
So in situations like this, are unions seen as a good thing?Visual effects workers at Disney are unionizing! Not a moment too soon.
“Today, courageous Visual Effects workers at Walt Disney Pictures overcame the fear and silence that have kept our community from having a voice on the job for decades. With an overwhelming supermajority of these crews demanding an end to ‘the way VFX has always been,’ this is a clear sign that our campaign is not about one studio or corporation. It’s about VFX workers across the industry using the tools at our disposal to uplift ourselves and forge a better path forward,” IATSE VFX organizer Mark Patch said in a statement.
“The determination of these VFX workers is not just commendable, it’s groundbreaking. Their collective action against the status quo represents a seismic shift in this critical moment in our industry. The chorus of voices demanding change is unprecedented, and demonstrates our united movement is not about any one company, but about setting a precedent of dignity, respect, and fairness for all,” International President of IATSE Matthew D. Loeb said.
We'll see. I'm hoping for tight storytelling.
Either way, silly me, I'll wait until I've seen the film to judge.
That would make me think there's some potential that unions might be good for the workers...When I was working at Wal-Mart, we were warned if if it got back to management we had even said the word union, we would be fired instantly.

I admit my experience with unions is not that great. When I was working at Wal-Mart, we were warned if if it got back to management we had even said the word union, we would be fired instantly. Then when I was working at Fry's they were unionized and that meant they were forced to give me the late night closing shift, no matter how desperate I was to not work so late.

Suggests a jaunty pace. Excellent."The Marvels" will be the shortest MCU movie to date. Run time reportedly clocking in at 1 hour 33 minutes (without credits)

12 Angry Men (et al) did alright with similar run timesThat seems unfortunate for a movie that needs to showcase three distinct heroes. It seems like giving them short shrift, semi-literally.
Aye.As much as I love a nice long movie like this, getting a shorter one might be a nice change of pace.
So 11 minutes of credits? Sounds legit. Will still be a nice, jaunty pace.I'm seeing other rumors saying 1 hr 47m, which would still be the shortest MCU film but not as dramatically so.
Suggests a jaunty pace. Excellent.
