Did other Romulan tattoo guys show up in Picard? That would have been a nice random background detail, maybe.

IIRC the comics showed their baldness and tattoos as being something they did in their grief and a longing for vengeance.

I always wondered about the Romulan relationship in the Kelvinverse after 09. It probably went to shit because of Nero but I wondered whether they could do an opposite Prime with friendly Romulans and antagonist Klingons. Why not mix it up in an alternate timeline?

No but we got lots of black clad Romulans, lots of bald Romulans and the continuation of the returning ridgeless Romulans (as were Nero and gang) as well as an explanation for it all.

I thought Nero had a very slight ridge.
