Kelvin story threads

I compiled a list of issues that could be revisited in future Kelvin tie-in novels, which I'm re-posting here so writers won't necessarily stumble upon them. I suppose they could just as easily be used in future films, even if it's something as simple as an offhand mention, or something you have to read between the lines.

*Aftermath of Nero's attack - Vulcan influence or lack of same in the Federation
*Kirk and Carol's relationship
*McCoy's divorce and possible daughter
*Sulu's family
*Spock and Uhura's relationship
*Jaylah's Starfleet education and career
*Vulcan's restoration
*Section 31 activities regarding Khan
*Chekhov's further career (given the actor's death)
*Implications of existence of Khan blood revival serum
*Spock and Sarek's relationship
*Yorktown rebuild
*Sulu's aspirations for command
*Spock's "child of two worlds" balancing act
*Scotty and Keenser's working relationship
*Spock Prime's legacy
*Kirk's post-revival recovery - physical and psychological (one year between death and his speech at the memorial)
*Kirk's family issues - mom/stepdad, brother
*Kirk's criminal record pre-Starfleet
*Kirk's relationship with surrogate father/mentor Pike
*Starfleet Academy schooldays
*Other events beside Teenaxi incident that have become "episodic"
*USS Kelvin/Robau adventures
*George and Winona Kirk's relationship/careers
*Sarek and Amanda's relationship/careers
*Carol's relationship with her mother and father
*Alexander Marcus's relationship with Pike
*Marcus finding Khan and working with him
*Use/abuse/study of the Abronath and energy transference (life-sucking Altamid tech)
*Federation involvement on Altamid - settlement, policing, etc

The Aftermath with the Klingons. Marcus was anticipating a war, they were building up weapons, and that would not be ignored by the Klingons, plus the destruction of Praxis seems earlier due to Nero's intervention, destroying multiple vessels and needing more resources.

*Sulu’s daughter basically being young enough to graduate Starfleet Academy in the 2270s and be present for V’Ger, Genesis, Kruge, the Whale Probe, Sybok seeking out God, and the Khitomer Conspiracy.
*Bones and Carol Marcus relationship
*Bones and the Gorn babies
*Bones ex-wife, as we’ve never heard her side of events that led to her leaving Bones
*Carol Marcus and her weapons expertise
*Section 31 activities during the events of ST’09. That’s a 25 year span of Section 31 meddling in the dark.
*Khan’s augments. A) Where did Starfleet securely store them so no one can reawaken them? B) There are 72 of them. Surely their personalities aren’t exactly the same as Khan.
*Spock’s katra. He had to have had one and passed it on to someone before he died who could pass it on to Kelvin Spock. And that has massive implications with Kelvin Spock knowing how the next century is supposed to progress.
*Sulu getting his own command
*What do the Romulans make of the events that have made up the Kelvin trilogy. They’ve watched Vulcan get destroyed by Romulans from the future, which at minimum puts reunification hopes on hold; the Federation nearly start a war with the Klingons; and seen the flasgship of the Federation be destroyed by a previously unknown threat. All occurring before they are supposed to reintroduce themselves to the galaxy again, they steal designs from Starfleet, they form an alliance with the Klingons, and Nimbus III is established.
*Red matter
*What became of the life Kirk left behind in Iowa – his mom, the farm, Shipyard Bar.
*The Klingons encounter with Nero. How do you lose 47 ships at the hands of a single ship and have no response to that? Especially when you are a warrior race?
*Scotty & Jaylah’s relationship
*The search for Jaylah’s people
*Jaylah after graduating from Starfleet Academy
*Where did Carol Marcus go? Why did she leave the Enterprise? There’s still 20+ years to go until Genesis, so what has she been up to?
*Harry Mudd. He around in the background somewhere, so what’s he up to.
*Orions in Starfleet. Service in Starfleet is not what they are known for in this era, so what's the deal?
*Andoria replacing Vulcan as an influence to Starfleet in the wake of Vulcan’s destruction

Not to mention that the basic premise behind The Hazard of Concealing (https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/The_Hazard_of_Concealing) could figure into the plot - namely, that Spock Prime's knowledge of the future is a blessing and a curse, and would paint a target on Kelvin Spock's back if he acquired that knowledge. Also, the weight of knowing that you can't/shouldn't use your knowledge sometimes, even if it means someone might get hurt.

They could even work Kelvin McCoy into it by having Kelvin Spock be injured and have to transmit Spock Prime's katra to Kelvin McCoy (believing that Prime's wisdom shouldn't be lost, even if Kelvin Spock dies)

Oddly enough, Kelvin McCoy might have a slightly easier time of it, as Spock Prime's katra would retain memories of his time stuck in McCoy Prime and would thereby be able to ease Kelvin McCoy's strain, in addition to lexorin (https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Lexorin)

Or, to give Kelvin McCoy a break, Kelvin Uhura could harbor Spock instead.

Does anybody know if the actor who played Nero is still available to help tie up some loose ends? It should be easy enough to digitally de-age him back to how he looked in JJ-2009? Or perhaps even better, we will see prime Nero in a reset timeline proudly leading peace talks between the Romulan's and the Federation, alongside Donatra, after the destruction of Romulus has been averted? Would make Star Trek VI look like Sesame Street, though.

We don't have to tie things in a neat bow, just tug on them and see what unravels.

This is not a list of problems to solve, just issues to consider. For example, regarding Kirk's misdemeanors - maybe Kirk runs into someone he once knew during his legal troubles. Or McCoy's ex-wife - perhaps they reunite (not by choice) for some reason (stranded ship, aiding a colony, etc)

Well, I guess that the next JJ film could deal with Pine Kirk being split in to both his good and bad halves in a transporter accident? Kirk’s enemy in the next movie could be himself… one of his personas could be portrayed by Paul Wesley?

Or the crew juggles Spock Prime’s katra. Kirk, Scotty, Sulu, and Jaylah sharing the burden with Spock, Bones and Uhura.

Or the Kelvinverse Ent-A jumps to the future. 14 years from 2387 takes us to 2401 in the Kelvin timeline.

I am sorry, but no, because Kelvin Nero is dead.

**EDIT**
Ok, yeah… I get it now.

But who is to say that Romulus does not keep on getting destroyed in all timelines? Therefore Nero will always be seeking revenge no matter the timeline?

Now that I think about it… what if a Romulan received Spock’s katra and used it to influence the future to benefit Romulus at the expense of the other insterstellar powers?

They’d know about not just V’Ger, Genesis and the Whale Probe. But Khitomer Conspiracy, the Tomed Incident, the Treaty of Algeron, the lost of the Ent-C, Gomtuu, the House of Duras and the Klingon Civil War, the Pegasus Incident, the coming war with the Dominion and how the war was won, the Shinzon coup, the importance of both Kirk’s crew and Picard’s crew (and to a lesser extent Sisko's crew and Janeway's crew), that the Borg are on their way, Zhat Vash and the Attack on Mars.

Awareness of all of the above could lead to an alternate 2401 where Romulus is still around and the dominant power in the galaxy.

What makes you think that a Romulan acquired Spock’s Katra? This is stereotyping the Romulans as villains yet again.

Accepting your scenario with or without a Romulan connection, this would all surely involve Spock’s eternal soul becoming a part of future mythology in an almost religious context in a similar way as to Surak’s. This would, however, be a rehash of The Forge, the Awakening and Kir’shara.

Reread my post again. At no point in the post did I say the Romulans were the villains. Only that such knowledge would give them an advantage at the expense of the other powers. Which is true.

I guess that it all depends on which Romulans could eventually acquire such knowledge… the Tal’Shiar, Qo Wat Milot.. Zhat Vash even… I am assuming it would not be information available to the average plebeian?

Some of these threads were picked up in various media. Like Kirk's time at Starfleet Academy one was seen in a series of novels,

Did other Romulan tattoo guys show up in Picard? That would have been a nice random background detail, maybe.
I always wondered about the Romulan relationship in the Kelvinverse after 09. It probably went to shit because of Nero but I wondered whether they could do an opposite Prime with friendly Romulans and antagonist Klingons. Why not mix it up in an alternate timeline?
