but after 4 eps? I feel like we haven't really seen them together for it to be developed for this breakup that still has Christine pinning for him all these years later...As the noted philosopher Neil Sedaka said, "Breaking up is hard to do."

sorry, this is the first star trek show I've watched lolSo Star Trek?
Oh, whoops. Yes, relationships tend to build up in one episode.sorry, this is the first star trek show I've watched lol
Ah. This is in the tradition of many television shows in the 1960's where a lead could meet, fall in love, marry, and lose a partner in the course of mere days (in Trek's case, sometimes hours.) It's kind of an updated nod to that only, instead of forgetting it even happened by the next episode, there are residual and lingering effects for the characters throughout the season while they run around doing other exciting stuff.sorry, this is the first star trek show I've watched lol
Oh yeah, that episode. I forgot the title and tried to forget the episode even existed having been overcome by Fremdschämen while watching and then never watching it again. Are we allowed to say "sub rosa"?![]()
A very believable complication -- now that they are together, Christine and Spock are finding that it is possible they don't have enough in common to actually be together. Sometimes we are attracted to those who are very different from us, yet discover there aren't enough similarities to build a lasting relationship on. They're going to need more time to figure out if they can make it work as a couple.
Can’t remember the exact quote off the top of my head but didn’t Spock tell Stonn than “having isn’t as good as wanting” or something to that effect in Amok Time?
Maybe they are figuring it out first hand.
I'm a S'Pring guy.
It would be perfect. Spock and Jim in the middle of the sandwich.Of course, the logical solution is for everyone to try out polyamory. Then they won't have to make painful decisions over who to dump and who to stay with.
Really, there's no good reason they couldn't have a polycule with Roger, Christine, Spock, Jim, T'Pring, and Stonn.
Only if you light a candle afterwards. Are we allowed to say "sub rosa"?![]()
