Controversial Opinion:
S04 of DSC was superior to S03 of PIC by a considerable margin.

PIC S03 was really exciting for the first few episodes until it became clear we'd spend 80% of the season stuck on the Titan.
It was nice to see everyone back together. It was nice to see the D. But once the shine had worn off... There's not much to it.
I can understand that complaint. But I think it was supposed to evoke those feelings of claustrophobia
Fair.
I'm not saying there wasn't anything to enjoy in it...
I think i soured on it when it came to the whole villain reveal which was... eh.
While I didn't like the Changelings being undercut, I felt the Borg were really the only villains thematically worthy of being Picard's final foe
Again, fair.
In that case, I wish they'd saved the final foe for the final season rather than having them be in all seasons previous prominently as well.
PIC is very much the Borg show and it didn't need to be.
Damnit!
Do you know what a hassle all that editing was while on my phone?

The stuff you’re talking about happened in April, which means October before openly discussing in this forum.

I just think it's insensitive to call a show with a half-LGBT+ cast "STD". It's about as ignorant as someone in the 1980s calling AIDS a disease for you-know-what.
I feel the need to amend this to note that there is more than one reason why Ezri awesome. Being a continuation of Dax is only one of them. But it did give her a leg up.The only reason Ezri is so awesome (and she is) is because the audience had the experience of Jadzia. She wouldn't have worked as well as a new character.
If it was a mostly straight cast / characters it would be OK? That's silly on the face of it.I just think it's insensitive to call a show with a half-LGBT+ cast "STD". It's about as ignorant as someone in the 1980s calling AIDS a disease for you-know-what.
No, it wouldn't be. But you know what I meant. Please don't pretend as if you don't.If it was a mostly straight cast / characters it would be OK? That's silly on the face of it.
I'm not pretending. I know what you meant. I don't agree that the demographics are significant. No, it wouldn't be. But you know what I meant. Please don't pretend as if you don't.
Red Brain: You got VOY in my TFF.I will then insist that everyone now use ST (or STTOS / STTAS), STTNG, STDSN, STV, and E (and eventually STE) when abbreviating Star Trek shows.
It is. So is DISCO. It is in fact also a canonical abbreviation of the starship, in-universe.Besides, Disco is a perfectly acceptable term for the show.
