I call PIC Season 3 dumb, mindless fun and fanwank. Empty calories but tasty. DSC Season 4 was actually ambitious and Species 10-C was one of the most philosophically "Star Trek" things the franchise has done in many years.

PIC S03 was really exciting for the first few episodes until it became clear we'd spend 80% of the season stuck on the Titan.
It was nice to see everyone back together. It was nice to see the D. But once the shine had worn off... There's not much to it.

PIC Season 3 was basically a giant bag of Halloween candy with a Starfleet delta on the outside but I had fun. Season 2 was arguably the worst season of any Star Trek series since I was starting to shave.
I can understand that complaint. But I think it was supposed to evoke those feelings of claustrophobia

I'm not saying there wasn't anything to enjoy in it...
I think i soured on it when it came to the whole villain reveal which was... eh.
While I didn't like the Changelings being undercut, I felt the Borg were really the only villains thematically worthy of being Picard's final foe

In that case, I wish they'd saved the final foe for the final season rather than having them be in all seasons previous prominently as well.

I just think it's insensitive to call a show with a half-LGBT+ cast "STD". It's about as ignorant as someone in the 1980s calling AIDS a disease for you-know-what.
Ugh. It's low hanging fruit, insensitive to anyone actually affected by an STD and neither funny nor even inline with how previous Trek shows have been abbreviated, but some folks are going to do it, so what can be done?
I'm tired of fighting shit like that. If someone gets off on adolescent 'jokes' like that, let them have their 'fun'.
I feel the need to amend this to note that there is more than one reason why Ezri awesome. Being a continuation of Dax is only one of them. But it did give her a leg up.
