But LD is the greatest Trek that has ever Trekked since DS9 trekked. Presumably. I can't stand it.
It's the general ... "Vibe" I got from people. Everyone acts like it's brilliant and intelligent and gust-busting humorous. Because low-brow humor, shouting and constant self-refetences are high-larious.
Because we all just have to live LD because, again, it's just the best. Thing. Ev-ah!!!
People act like everyone just HAS to like LD and if you don't you're just a big stinky stick-in-the-mud who don't like fun!
The general vibe anytime someone even dares say they don't find LD funny. "LD is really damn funny and the best thing to come from the current batch of Trek" concept is reaching "DS9 is the best series from that era" levels.
See? You can't dislike the episode. LD is the BEST! You dare not think otherwise or you don't like fun!
Not everyone is loving and adoring every aspect of this episode simply because it contains Lower Decks. The audacity!
Oh for fuck's sake, you think we got it now? Please get over yourself, man. Because this makes you look super ridiculous for freaking out about an imagined group of people somehow telling you that you have to like Lower Decks. This is all happening in your head, don't you realize that? Literally no-one is saying that or giving off the “vibe” you're talking about. You don't like Lower Decks. Whoop-de-freakin-do, you are obviously allowed to do that. There's nothing wrong with that and no-one gives a flying fuck about it.

No one is saying it is the best thing ever.

I am, I'm saying it right now. Lower Decks is a goddamn delight and, until Strange New Worlds came out, was my favourite Trek series. Period.

The DS9 baseball one is funnier.

Yikes. it really isn't.

I hate Lower Decks and wish agonizing painful deaths on all of the characters whenever I try to watch so much as a 30 second clip of the show.

Well the username _does_ check out. Is this some kind of performance art? If so, you nailed it.

I haven't interacted with you in _years_. I guess it's comforting to know that some things _never_ change.

This episode was sublime. I was in stitches when the nacelle sucking space baby showed up in the animated credit sequence. I was _devastated_ by the turbolift scene between Boimler and Chapel and I was throughly delighted at Mariner and Ortegas trying their best to get Uhura to relax. But the final transporter scene where Number One is told that her ordeal in the courtroom would be quoted and put on a recruitment poster? I cried again, tears of joy.

This might be the best episode of Star Trek ever made. I watched it an hour ago and I'm still emotional. I think I'm going to watch it again, like right now.

10/10, no notes, do this again forever.

Do you see the problem here?

They got Boimler's uniform yoke wrong. On SNW, when he raises his arms the shoulder inserts still point down. On LD, the yoke curves smoothly upward on either side.

This is a significant continuity error, which could easily have been addressed with CG in post if they'd cared at all. Sloppy and lazy on their part.

:D

TAS wasnt a futurama type show. LD is. Also they never had a crossover with another star trek show with a starfleet officer saying "oh yeah. Here is the period where we were two demensional." All i can figure is the lower decks crew are raging alcholics and those drinks boimer makes have them seeing delusions the whole series.
Alcoholism: solves everything...

It was a waste for you, but not for a majority of the people who watched the episode here, if you look at the poll ratings.
I'm beginning to understand why my jokes so often fall flat on this forum. What I find funny, most people here don't. Most people here find LD funny, but I don't. We might as well be on different dimensions humor-wise.

Gasp….. teh cannon!

I do find it strange that some people who said they hated Dal and can't stand him on Prodigy (which is now canceled so I guess they won) are the very same people saying they love Boimler and Mariner.

What this OBVIOUSLY means is that SNW takes place in a DiFfeRenT uNivErSe because if they were on the OG TOS 1701 the shoulders would be right. Allow me to expand on this theory with the following 47 points:
