Spoilers The Blacklist - The Final Season

It would appear that they've returned to the storyline that Red has an underlying condition that is probably terminal.

Damn.

Not the way I ever envisioned this show ending, though I certainly can appreciate the metaphor.

And so it ends. I need to digest this a bit more.

That was a giant thud. Not necessarily what happened, but what didn't happen. It's like how on Star Trek: Voyager they reached home and then it ends. No, reaching home was not the point.

Was that the first time in ten seasons Hisham Tawfiq got a monologue?

So i stopped waaaaay early on.... about how much of the finale should i watch... like the last 10 minutes? Or 3?

I assume no major revelation or anything?

No secrets are answered, no long-running threads are tied up. They hint at Red's true identity again but still won't come out and say it. I guess if you jumped right into the finale you'd be surprised at which characters are no longer on the show and which character got a new job.

I am honestly surprised (and very disappointed) that the issue of Red's identity wasn't fully addressed. Yes, I believe that we were essentially given the answer at the end of Season 8, but I still wanted to hear Red actually say, before it was all over "I am Katarina Rostova".

I DID NOT want Red to turn out to be Katarina. Red said who he was in a diner with Liz, "I yam what I yam" he's Popeye the Sailor man, meaning he WAS Red Reddington, Naval Intelligence.

I cried at the end of this last episode, but not because Red died, but because these network interferers and johnny-come-lately show runners had Red, who out maneuvered the Police, FBI, other bad guys, et al, killed by a bull. Just stand there and wait to see if the bull would charge. Stupid ending. Worse than "How I Met Your Mother".

My ending may have been like this:
Red takes his walk, sits in the field and Liz is sitting next to him, they talk, get up, walk a little, then Liz fades away and the bull is there, if they had to use this bull ending.
