Damn, that really sucks.

The Angels need to make some big trades so Ohtani can get his ring!

Congratulations to Julio Rodrigez and George Kirby from the Mariners get nominated as back ups on the All Star Team.

And to Logan Gilbert for an amazing pitching performance yesterday against the Giants.

Mets are paying Robinson Cano, James McCann, Eduardo Escobar, Chris Flexen, Darin Ruff, Bobby Bonilla, Tommy Hunter and Brett Saberhagen $49.8 million this year.

"The Mets and Saberhagen structured the deal so Saberhagen would receive $250,000 per year for 25 years, beginning in 2004. He'll receive his last payment in 2028, 33 years after he last played for the Mets and 27 years after he retired from baseball."

All those deferred payments and it hasn't gotten them anywhere, even with the new owner throwing money around.

I had Saberhagen on my 1988 PtP team. Good numbers. I also had Greg Maddux.

It was a great performance but man the Giants plate discipline left a lot to be desired. I was at the game and left after the bottom of the 8th. It was pretty bad.

If you have Amazon Prime, there's usually one or two free MLB.TV games they show, I presume to convince you to sign up for MLB.TV. Not every day, but most days. Right now, 11 games are free!!!!

As much as I miss being a delivery driver, I won't miss having to take parts/tires next week to our location in the SODO neighborhood across the street from Starbucks headquarters and the stadium.

They're projecting 100,000+ in Seattle the days of the All-Star Game. Traffic is going to be a nightmare.

On a related note - my cousins got their dad (my Uncle) for Father's Day, two sixth row seats behind home plate for him and his grandson to the All-Star Game.

That's pretty cool though I personally would not want to be anywhere near that area during the game. I've done the downtown Seattle thing just during the summer.
