DC Movies - To Infinity and Beyond

Agreed, though I admittedly know very little about either of them. Congrats to both for joining the storied legacy of actors to embody these two legendary characters.
Speaking of that legacy, The Hollywood Reporter gets an "F" in its Superman cinematic history class. In its article on the casting news, it apparently believes Clark and Lois's "big screen" history began with Superman '78, omitting to list Kirk Alyn and George Reeves among the actors who have played Clark theatrically, and Noel Neill and Phyllis Coates among those who have portrayed Lois.

(Arguably, they should also include the voice actors for the 1940s Superman theatrical cartoon shorts, though the intent is probably to list only live-action performers.)

If you were going to describe Lois is one word it would be "Spunky" and Brosnahan has that in spades.
I've not seen Brosnahan in anything, but I was thoroughly charmed by her response to her then-rumored candidacy for Lois on The View (it's toward the end of this segment):

The casting of Lois Lane is at least as important as Clark/Superman's for me, and I'm very excited and hopeful about Brosnahan in the role. The Internet consensus seems to be that she will kill it.

That would be hard to do. They initially used Bud Collyer (Superman), Joan Alexander (Lois), and Julian Noa (Perry) from the radio series, but then they switched to uncredited actors who, as far as I know, have never been identified.

Oh good. Went with who i liked.
Some of the others...ah no.

Sucks for Nicholas Hoult (Huzzah) ..
I'm kind of more interested in whom will be Lex Luthor.. They've kind of been missing the mark in movie casting..

I'm curious if this will be a period piece. Having it set in the 30's or 50's would help make it unique with the other Superman movies out there. Then the sequels could be set in present day with a highly experienced Superman. Something else we haven't seen before.

Maybe.
I'd rather them go back to 90s batman where gothom looked all art deco. Make metropolis more futuristic, high towers.. Not just New York

I'm quite happy with the casting news.

In other news, there's a new documentary* on DC Comics coming.

*produced for Max, so probably similarly PR-heavy as that documentary from back in the day that Ryan Reynolds narrated.

Haven't seen the new Supes in anything I recall. He looks a bit like Welling and Cavill, to my eye. Just watched a scene from a show he was in called Hollywood and I'm encouraged.

As for Rachel Brosnahan, I do recall her from House of Cards. I dig.

First impression pretty positive.
