Episode 6 is where the season finally elevates itself. The origin story doesn't always make sense but at face value it's an excellent tale. 9/10 for me.I skipped ep 6 cause Saru's orgin bores me.
But this week I'm Trekking along with:
DIS 2x7 Light and Shadows.
The ep opens with Michael quoting her mother.

The Sound of Thunder is actually one of Discovery's best episodes. I'm really looking forward to revisiting that one on my rewatch later this year.Episode 6 is where the season finally elevates itself. The origin story doesn't always make sense but at face value it's an excellent tale. 9/10 for me.
It really changed the growth of the character. Saru is one of Trek's most developed ones! The Sound of Thunder is actually one of Discovery's best episodes. I'm really looking forward to revisiting that one on my rewatch later this year.

That's funny cause I liked it for the same reasons you didnt.
It felt "episodic". Essentially a standalone ep umong the rest of the season.
Felt like the beginnings of SNW right here.
I am with you. New Eden is one of my favorite DISCO episodes. Probably top 5. Top 10 certainly.
I'm happy it didn't. Its real tie-in is with the novels.Trekkin along in Season 2, this week:
DIS 2x11 Perpetual Infinity
Momma's home.
I really thought Control would tie in with the Borg. Never happened.
Leland sure was assimilated tho.
I've decided to do a season 4 rewatch from start to finish. So I'm not really on track with anyone here, but the intention is the same.16 episodes left. 8 weeks until the season premiere. If I average two episodes per week until then, I'll have met my goal of finishing Season 4 right before Season 5. So I'll be able to proceed at a comfortable pace instead of cramming it all in. I'm impressed actually. I started this at the end of October and have, more or less, stayed on track.
