Ms Marvel is one of those odd gaps I have in my MCU watching (the other being The Eternals) and I must commit to giving it a go before the film comes out!

It's terrific, although I think it would've been better paced if it had been a few episodes longer, and the stakes didn't have to be as fate-of-the-world as it made them.

I really enjoyed it despite obviously not being the target audience. The characters are all likeable and Iman Velani as Kamala is a joy to watch. There are some slow parts to the story, but I've come to expect that in these type of serialized cable shows. And, of course, it drops a lot of backstory pertaining to the upcoming Marvels movie.

Ms. Marvel was fun although it ended up being a lot of fun in spite of itself than because of itself because of the need to Marvel-ize the threat.

That's one of the things that put me off, I had a couple of friends who started watching it and ducked out because they realised it wasn't aimed at them. Not that things have to be aimed at me for me to enjoy them but it placed enough doubt in my head that I've prioritised other stuff.

Who *is* the target audience of Ms Marvel out of interest? Seen as you all seem to think it’s not you

Yeah I like Marvel so I’ll give any of their projects ago. Even ones about characters I have no particular “affection” for. Daredevil is one that I’ve not followed outside of Frank Miller’s run. But I gave it a go. OTOH, I’m a big Captain America fan, so Falcon and the The Winter Soldier was a no-brainer.

Teens? Right… So have you all avoided the Tom Holland Spider-Man trilogy then? That’s teenagers. So you all thought “that’s not my demographic” and didn’t watch them I take it?

Yeah. Completely missed what I was getting at there. And it’s really not something to be proud of. It’s actually quite disgusting.
