While that might be true, I’d be surprised if Starfleet was still constructing starships from a century old model.
The registry of Sisko's Saratoga would seem to indicate they were. Same with the Lakota.

Only 14 days until the game is "supposed" to launch across three platforms and no one has yet seen the finished retail game to review, so either the pentigon has classified it as top secret for your eyes only, because it is that good, or................. lol

To be honest my expectations are low. I'm well-accustomed to Star Trek games being a bit crap. The joy derived from them is being able to play inside the Star Trek universe, so if it can capture that and isn't too buggy, I'll be happy enough.

Many elements of STO (mostly ship designs for now) have made it into canon. Theoretically, this evolution has already begun.

Hmmm, that preview says the game is very linear (even moreso than past Telltale games), but you know what? I don't mind that since, unlike past Telltale games, we actually get to walk around in this and shoot things. It isn't just a glorified QTE game like The Walking Dead games were.
Usually no reviews of the finished product before launch means either a incoming stinker or something that will be forgotton in a months time. Lol
Where did you hear that it is $40? I couldn't find the price anywhere. That's a fantastic price.
