Well, it was a VERY long build up to that point.Only in wrestling would a man hitting his son would get a massive cheer from the crowd.![]()
I thought Asuka should have won the women's title
But Cody losing? With the exact same finish as every Roman match? I don't get they're waiting for. If Cody's ever gonig to be champion it should have been at WM. There's no bigger event! And who do they have that's a better choice to beat Roman? If Cody wins it at some secondary show later in the year it's never going to feel as big as if he'd won at WM.
I guess I just don't get the thousand days thing. It's just a number.
Tony Khan has announced AEW All In for August at Wembley Stadium in London. In theory it could draw 90,000 fans...in theory. But I can't fault his ambition.
We’ll see. This isn’t filling 10K seat in Chicago or 20K in NYC. This is filling 90K seats, period. That implies that AEW is at a certain level of popularity to pull that off. And non-WWE companies have peaked at 40K in the States, and 60K in Japan. And 100K in North Korea, but that last one was under very different circumstances.
I don't think anyone is realistically expecting 90,000 (not even Khan.) AEW's current record is 20,000. I'm going to be bold and predicted 58,472 for the Wembley show. They'll get Ant and Dec to wrestle or something.
Ugh. I really can't stand Punk anymore. This is probably where they’ll bring CM Punk back. And if they bring in Ospreay for the show, then Okada and Tanahashi might be on the card too.
