For the most part, yet.
Not sure this counts as a Trek question, but:
In between the wild west and Star Trek-era space, where can we exercise our spirit for settling new untouched frontiers?

I do it all the time.
In science. Discovering and conquering the frontiers of knowledge into the unknown!
Slightly more serious. I wouldn't know. Perhaps in exploration of living in areas that are generally considered less inhabitable? (Arctic, underwater, desert, etc. )?
Settling a land, starting towns, planting gardens, that sort of thing, I don't know what place is the world's current "wild west" in that sense.
Underwater and it is one of the reasons I like Seaquest (among other ideas).
Discovery hater: I hate how Burnham breaks all the rules without consequence and doesn't care what anyone else thinks, and gets promoted to captain for it.

Ehhh...I want to like Seven. But, not everything works for me. Burnham I get better.
I will grant we're missing two decades of Seven's story in between Voyager and Picard.
Yeah, and the early part is not that enjoyable for me.
There really is a clear delineation between Voyager's first three seasons and the rest.
I meant the early part of Seven's journey but this is also the case for me.
I think it would have done wonders for the Chakotay character if he'd been the one to help Seven regain her humanity. He had experience being linked with a, albeit, small hive mind. And he linked with Seven before her connection to the Borg was cut if I remember correctly. Then their romance could've been justified.
Controversial opinion? I like Michael Burnham. I think she's had a pretty good story arc so far. Discovery is my happy place.
I agree, that could have been an entirely believable VOY arc, and it would also have given the Chakotay character more screen time. Too bad they didn't think of it (or the idea was rejected).
