The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

No assembly. I won with a bid of $80 plus shipping. It was previously owned. Oddly enough, I think it came from Australia!

Small world hey?

I went back to that link I posted that Enteprise E is nice, I think I had one when they first came out but it must have gotten lost or something, but ouch on the price... I don't think I'd pay $500 for that, I payed $60 ish when they were brand new and I am pretty sure it was the Playmates version too.

So... I got this with Christmas money I hadn't spent yet. It arrived today.

My Canon camera transformer arrived...... Very nice and I had fun with it today first turning it into Optimus Prime then back into a Canon EOS camera which I think is one of the best transformers alt modes I have ever seen... All the details are there and some of the buttons work and the dial on the back turns. It's very neat.

The best part is the lens that detaches just like the real one on the real camera and hides inside the arms and head. The matrix of leadership hides inside the front of the lens.

Video from PrimevsPrime from a month ago.

Apparently they came out late last year, but I just noticed Playmates has these packaged sets of Stranger Things and Ninja turtles figures, so I got Eleven and Leonardo. Apparently there is going to be a comic book of this crossover, very soon. Cool concept, but I wish you could just get the ST Figures by themselves without the accompanying turtle.

I have found ST figures generally frustrating in terms of consistency. There were the 3.75" figures from Funko, but they weren't actually in 1:18 scale because the kids were 3.75" tall and there were no adult characters! And then McFarlane with the 7" scale, and the weird paint jobs on the faces. And then McFarlane lost the license, and Bandai released several figures, but with questionable actor likenesses and really weird hip and ankle joints, but at least close in scale to McFarlane. Though Bandai also had those really cartoony Target exclusives with the opening mouths. And now Playmates, a bit cartoony and plasticky looking, but overall pretty decent... the problem is that they went with 6" scale, so their figures don't go with the others! :scream: Yet the Ninja Turtles in the line are really big, like they would scale better with 7" figures. :wtf:

I went to my local WalMart yesterday and saw they had Kirk, Spock, and Khan playmates figures on the pegs. I passed up on them since I already have a Kirk and Spock from the vintage line.

The GI Joe Classified figures selection was disappointing. All the good ones were picked though, leaving behind the figures no one likes.

Which ones do people not buy?
