DC Movies - To Infinity and Beyond

I love Supergirl '84, though it's not a love I can necessarily defend. No question that Slater's great, though.

Slater was perfect casting in a visual sense--the best to date, but the Salkinds' need to have her be needlessly goody-goody nearly smothered hints at a stronger personality during the final conflict scenes. A Supergirl leaning toward the latter behavior would have been worthy of a return performance for Slater--only if the next film had been a complete reboot, allowing her to stand on her own with no references to the Omegaherdon, or appearances from McClure's Olsen.

New trailer due in a couple of hours!

Not sure how "These scars we have make us who we are" and "Don't let your tragedies define you" fit together in the same speech.

I really like the look of this Supergirl... I don't know what happens in the Gunnverse, but would like to see her get a chance there.
From the (admittedly very limited) sense I get of her from the Flash trailers, I feel like she might be a good fit for the Kara of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.

Do you watch Supergirl back-to-back with Catwoman? I could see those going together.

Oh, Supergirl is a much better movie, and much truer to the source. Also, it would pair more naturally with a Batgirl movie, but alas...

Strictly speaking, Catwoman is a spinoff of Batman Returns, establishing its protagonist as an inheritor of the same powers that were granted to Selina Kyle. So the logical place to watch it would be after the Burton/Schumacher Batman series, or at least after Returns.

Reminds me of one of the Taglines for Fantastic Four 2015.

"When you change the world, prepare to defend it".

Like....what?

It's a Super-centric rewatch project. No Bat-stuff (except where they overlap, like BvS and JL).
Did you get the 4K steelbook collection? I got mine the other day and it looks good. I’ll probably skip Superman 3 though. Never liked that one.

I'm not yet 4K equipped, so no. I do have the Superman Motion Picture Anthology Blu-ray set, however, which is a fantastic collection with an amazing abundance of extras.
