Spoilers Red Alert. Images from the Finale are leaking online. Get off twitter, reddit, and youtube ASAP.

Renaming the Titan to the Enterprise is a no for me. Other than than, I'm ok with the rest.

Short of watching it / verifying it's true, I'm not sure why this would ever be an option? It also devalues the name and history of the current designation which (some) are already attached to.

To be fair, according to non-official sources, the Enterprise-A was apparently originally another starship and renamed. As was the Defiant-A, which was the Sao Paolo. But yes, based on the story of the Titan-A here and it’s role in saving Starfleet, it seems pretty dumb.

Isn't the titan a pretty old ship anyway? That was why Geordie complimented Shaw on the state it's in?

maybe for budget in anticipation of a new show? why spend all the money to create yet ANOTHER bridge (la sirena, stargazer, titan, discovery, now another future enterprise) when they can just reuse the titan set? the reviewer said it was pretty obvious that so much of it was set up to gun for a spinoff show

Considering the fact they just recycled the Stargazer bridge into the Titan, they could have easily done the same here.

Point taken - there's obviously historical precedent. In saying that, I guess one could argue it was to make their respective Captains or crew happy / express their gratitude given the circumstances that led to needing those new ships in the first place. (trying to be non-descript so as to not need the spoiler button)

With that first one…
Good grief does that mean one of Timofnine’s crazy theories was actually on the money? The series ending with Seven commanding (presumably) the Enterprise-G?

And on that ship renaming I suppose it’s not the first time it’s happened, with the Enterprise-A (non canon of course).
Previous cases were brand new when that happened, IIRC

Renaming the ship is pretty eye-rolling. Also not keen on Jack getting to be an ensign just 'cuz he's the special new boy; with Wesley, there was always the expectation that he'd eventually head to the academy. If there's a diplomatic reason for Jack to be around - like, if he's the Borg Whisperer or something - then fine, let him be a civilian/special consultant on the ship. Possibly reviving Q doesn't bother me the way the Nepenthe thing did or vanishing most of the S1 cast - Matalas was involved in that season, so if he wants to scratch sand over it, fine. But, of course, context matters, and we'll see how it all actually shakes out in 36 hours or so.

Well, I think that review seems quite accurate with some of the other stuff I've been seeing here. There's no mention of whether the Enterprise-D gets trashed or not. Doesn't seem like it but not revealing that either.

Well, I have to say, re-naming the Titan the Enterprise is quite a head scratcher. I was thinking they'd unveil some neo-Galaxy-class deal. That might be something I could have trouble getting used to. I hope they refit the crap out of her before it goes into service as Enterprise. I don't blame the rest of you.

@Mage they are not going to create another show in the Discoverse. After the huge success of Picard season 3 they will most likely cancel everything which could be considered remotely connected to DISCO.
S31 is a distinct possibility, as long as the show is set in the new Terryverse.

you can all stop dreaming about new Discoverse boredom after season 5 (hopefully) negates everything which happened in this parallel universe.

The upcoming Starfleet Academy show:
Will get rewritten as a 25th century show.

SNW: Will even further distance itself from the crazy Discoverse doctrine.

You will see it happen. If business defines true Star Trek, here is it’s groundwork:

This post didn't age well.

Someone released their review of Episode 10 early, big spoilers if this is true. I'm not making a joke.

The Titan is renamed Enterprise with Seven as captain, Jack is given a commission as ensign, Sidney is promoted, and Q is in the mid credits scene

I do think there is a hint of truth in this with the 'Names mean everything' line. That's also the title of one of the tracks on the soundtrack
Eeesh, I've thoroughly enjoyed the season thus far, but if that's all true, that's disappointing. They've given into just about every temptation I have to fight when I write fanfic.

One thing that does seem to irk me a bit is that the name Enterprise usually is given to one of the more prestigious ships in the fleet. The Titan-A doesn't strike me as that, it seems to be more of a workhorse ship IMHO. For those who don't know, the Titan is five years old, so it's not super-old. Although the top of the line ship doesn't always have to be the Enterprise, it can be some other ship.

I'd personally go with a "neo-Galaxy-class" Enterprise-G instead of the Titan-A being renamed that.

However, I'm not the show-runner. I don't call these shots.

I do have to say, I find it unlikely those spoilers are fake. That being said, I'm not sure they're totally accurate either, but I have a high degree of confidence that what is said is correct.
