Spoilers Red Alert. Images from the Finale are leaking online. Get off twitter, reddit, and youtube ASAP.

Not hearing about a project does not a cancellation make

As opposed to all the fake shows we here so much about?

Yeoh's schedule would be a strong consideration, and imagine this as a compromise.

And it's probably a stealth pilot for a Sec31 show that demands less of Yeoh's time.

argue the point, don’t insult the poster. I am not gullible, I am simply saying that lack of news does not indicate a project is dead. There were only rumors of a Section 31 series, it was never formally announced.

Paramount Streaming chief programming officer Tanya Giles assured TV Line that the show is “still in development.”

This awfully sounds like officially announced…

While I agree that this board can make the critical mistake of assuming what is popular here (or at least parroted by the "loudest" voices) is what the whole fanbase wants, the overall fanbase did help them take the leap and make SNW. It remains to be seen if the calls for a Legacy series have the same "juice." We will see! It's interesting that the S31 series is now apparently "just" a movie. Too soon to know if it's a backdoor pilot or not.

Yes!!!, another discoverse show getting sidelined with a „special presentation“

Now don’t stop there: turn the 32st century Starfleet Academy series into a 5 minute Short Trek episode and i am happy!

Kurtzman is officially toast…
You don't stop, do you?

An official announcement is “Section 31 to get X episodes co starring blah blah”

Saying a section 31 show is “in development” does indicate interest in the show, however the scope often changes.

You can’t be serious… this is deflection as its finest. So what about the 32nd century Starfleet Academy show? Also just a LOI? Come on..

edit: i mean wtf???

nope, its you who won’t stop nagging about everything which doesn’t fit your agenda of pushing lame Trek. Everyone who doesn’t share the same opinion as yourself is automatically stupid (oh yeah the correct term around here is „asinine“) or just doesn’t understand the business logics of media companies. I’ve had it with you and your constant moaning.

I welcome the S31 film. I did not think the show was going to be made for a variety of reasons, not the least of which was the huge reactionary push towards nostalgia bait storytelling and legacy characters. That we are getting something outside of that realm encourages me that Kurtzman is still pushing for the diversity of storytelling ideas in current Star Trek which is the best strength going forward.

I don't want the nostalgia all the time. I want some measure of differences in stories. This is one I am looking forward to, aside from Starfleet Academy which I am more interested in.

Isn't this just DSC nostalgia? (this is a joke)

I'm on the fence about S31 as a concept, especially with mirror Georgiou (Space Cannibal Hitler) as the lead. I will give it a chance though!!

And Star Trek fans wonder why we have a bad reputation in general media.....

Just, stop making actual Trek fans look bad ok?

How is that comment of mine relevant for evaluating trek fans? That guy defines himself by stating very strong and at times insulting opinions. I pointed that out. Where exactly is the relevance towards general Star Trek fandom?

You posting your opinions as facts. The actual ugly face of any fandom. When a fan goes so deep into his/her/their love for a franchise they can no longer see the difference between what they think and what is real. And I am really very sorry.... But everything you've posting for the last few hours is based on your feelings and opinions, NOT an actual facts. Even though you keep saying it's 'all true'.

Ok, it is a series of entirely fictional tv shows. The implications surrounding their production aren’t. And one can make assumptions without starting every sentence with the prefix „in my humble opinion“.

Do i work for CBS?, no but you don’t either and any of your opinions about the state of the franchise are just as questionable as mine. You guys keep claiming that DISCO is a successful show. I can object to this and guess what, i even present evidence to underly my opinions. They just don’t fit your narrative…
