Spoilers Star Trek: Picard General Discussion Thread

So this isn't a spoiler, I actually don't know this. Just theorizing.

What if Locutus was actually a sentient entity before it took over Picard's body in "The Best of Both Worlds"

Perhaps an ancient and dying voice that needs something in Picard and Jack to survive.
I think that's at odds with the way the Queen told Picard to go kick rocks when he offered to be Locutus again in First Contact. Unless "Locutus" is not something that the Borg actually want...which doesn't really make sense.

Something like that plays a major role in the Borg-involved Star Trek Destiny trilogy by David Mack...

This is my gripe as well. I'm sure COVID had a lot to do with this though.

The budget is definitely cramping their style a little. Once it was established that all of Starfleet could potentially track the Titan, the obvious move would be to ditch it, especially once they're at the Fleet Museum and have their pick of ships. That the characters didn't – and that we didn't even get to see the interior of the Bounty when Jack stole the cloak – suggests the production is relatively strapped.

Is the budget low, or are the actors a huge part of the budget?

I think Okuda likes the finale. ;)

I've been dealing with a lady on Twitter who thinks she can predict the spinoff show based upon what Terry is retweeting.

I've learned the hard way that it's best not to try to read tea leaves. You're only setting yourself up for disappointment. :(
