The first Pilot bridge didn't even HAVE a dedication plaque.
In my days we didn't have fancy dedication plaques. We had to the one ship and were glad to have the one!The first Pilot bridge didn't even HAVE a dedication plaque.

Ya because Kirk flew a United Earth starship. Or was it an Earth Federation starship ?Well there's your answer! The TOS series says Starship class. Clearly Pike is flying a different ship from Kirk.
(dives behind sofa quickly)
I think in one episode, he just says "United Star Ship". I suspect it meant he had a ship that had no active mutiny ongoing.Ya because Kirk flew a United Earth starship. Or was it an Earth Federation starship ?
Have you seen the Enterprise-F?I find the new ships don't look 'fat' or chunky enough....seems curvy is out of fashion and size zero is in.

The curves and proportions seem off, too...
As much as people are excited to see it, I'm kinda disappointed it's so crappy.
I also think it should have been a canonical ship, such as Yorktown, which would have been a more fitting tribute.
Nope. That's an urban myth. The Yorktown was there, as the Enterprise-A.
A quick vacuuming, a little air freshener....LOL. “Kirk, we’re giving you command of the Enterprise-A. But you’ll have to wait a bit so we can remove all the dead bodies of the Yorktown crew first.”
