Spoilers Was being inside the Nexus the reason...

Unimatrix Q

... that Daystrom Station had the corpses of Kirk and Picard?

Think Kirk may even still not be entirely dead, considering the sounds of his container.

And considering they also had Jean Luc's corpse there, i suspect it has something to do with the Nexus.

Maybe that's also why no one else beside apparently Picard and Grey, as revealed in Discovery, were able to have their consciousness succesfully transfered into a Golem...

No, they had the corpse of Kirk there for fanwank, and they had the corpse of Picard there because it’s apparently a weapon of mass destruction.

And was Grey in the Nexus too?

No, but maybe the metaphysical circumstances around the Trill and their symbiots make these things either possible or at least easier. Maybe the same is true for people who came back from the Nexus.

I suspect that Vadic's going to publicly reveal the existence of synth body resurrection on Frontier Day and cause mass chaos, meaning the weapon is a psychological weapon and not actually a physical one.

This then leads to the future described in Discovery where everyone tries synth resurrection but it almost never works.

Picard being a Synth wasn't a secret.

Why? I'm fairly certain it's possible for someone to have gone to Veridian III and exhumed Kirk's grave and to have obtained Picard's remains from the Synth world without any connection to the Nexus.

I’m confused, I thought that the ‘baddies’ had already stolen both the Quantum Displacement weapon and another even more powerful as of yet unnamed weapon which they plan to use on the Frontier Day parade (I think it may be an Iconian virus personally). Grave robbing Picard’s corpse seems like an additional theft from Daystrom unless I am mistaken? The Titan originally went to Daystrom to investigate, not to stop a weapons theft?

The only reason that I can think of anyone wanting to take Picard’s body would either be to revive Locutus or to revive Picard himself for some reason? But Picard’s consciousness is now in the golum, so Locutus is the only logical thing that I can think of.

I can imagine a scenario where Picard would have to face off against Locutus. That would be quite epic.

That ‘even more powerful and as yet unnamed weapon’ was Picard’s dead body.

I could see the Nexus weaponized as a kind of portal tech that reaches across time as well as space.
Yeah they could send Locutus on a rampage through the Nexus like when the Queen went to Unimatrix Zero.

Seriously though, if anybody ever wanted the nexus they could easily fly to it. Picard is not a key to the nexus in any way. Guinan or Kirk would be just as easily available if this were the case.
