One of the concepts for Kelvin (Back when it was still called the Iowa) was more TOS inspired

I like both that and the pretty similar comic version much more than what they actually used.

A bit like the SNW / DSC version of the Enterprise, I kinda just have to accept that they're all slightly different ways of portraying the same vessel. I just can't be bothered any more to do the mental gymnastics necessary to try to explain away the multitude of continuity glitches between different iterations of the same thing. It's all so fractured now that it's simply not worth the time and effort to try to rationalise everything. I would rather just hold the inconsistencies, accept the story as it is and move on.

So do you call TNG - STTNG? DS9 - STDS9? VOY - STVOY? ETC?

But we use first letters for all of those from different words in the title. Basically the first letter. Why sound STD be any di fferent? It's the first letter of each word in the title.

I think of how the Space Shuttle Enterprise never went to space, but is still preserved in a museum as well. Maybe it was built way after the fact, as a museum in and of itself? That would explain the high registry.

I stopped there. Call it DSC, as it's actually called, rather than going for the cheap shot. Then I might actually be interested in engaging with you.

DSC makes no sense. STD stands for Star Trek Discovery. It's not my fault the producers picked that title.

No one thinks you're clever.

Because as was pointed out, the others also start with Star Trek, so you are consistently inconsistent.

So, by this logic, TOS should actually be ST.

It's the original so yes it should be ST.

Absolutely no one. No one could ever, ever think that based on the evidence spewed here daily.

Why are you Pickleheads getting offended/defensive and arguing about something so stupid...:guffaw:...abbreviate it any way you want.......argue about things that matter like the stupid Turbolift interior of Discovery. Christ on a cracker...lmao...
