The kids love it.
Not gonna lie, I could totally imagine the tour guide having an entire bit where they are confused about the ship being gone before it decloaks. Maybe even decloaking when the guide isn't looking so that the kids could point it out, then it would disappear again when they turn back to the window.

That was a different Starbase. We never saw the -D enter Earth Spacedock.
We saw it in TOS configuration in Prodigy and Lower Decks since it first appeared in Discovery.

Also, TOS isn't canon. Abrams destroyed it.
Doesn't stop them from being canon.
Nothing except Deep Space Nine and any scenes with Sylvia Tilly are canon. I, one of all Star Trek fans, said so ex cathedra therefore this is true.
The only real cannon is the M109 series of tracked, self-propelled howitzers.

Has the Producers tweeted anything about the unnamed ships at the museum yet? I'm curious to see which Akiras, Nova-class, Yeager class, etc are present and what's their history/fame/infamy.

My question back would be, why wouldn’t you want to see Kelvin ships?
I would love to see the Kelvin and her sister ships in the Starfleet Museum. It’s not like they weren’t already part of the prime universe.
Come to think of it, I would love to see gold-plated model kits of the Abramsprise in Geordi’s office. Let’s explain that one away! Lol

There's a Nebula-class starship at the museum, with the Triangular pod (perhaps USS Sutherland of TNG and DS9 fame?)
It looks like if you moved a Galaxy-class saucer sideways, it might fit the Spacedock doors.
