Contest: ENTER SF&F Avatar Contest: Reunited (and It Feels So Good)

So I've been watching Picard season three, and apropos of nothing, this thread idea came to me.

Our theme for this contest is Reunions in SF&F. Your entries can depict any reunion in SF&F, from television, movies, comics or video games. The reunion can be either from the point of view of the characters (ie - the characters have been apart in the story even though the audience has followed both), the audience (ie - the audience hasn't seen a character in a while even though they're not supposed to be "gone" in-story) or, of course, both. And it doesn't even have to be characters who are being reunited with other characters, it can be characters with objects or locations, such as in my first entry:

Standard avatar contest rules apply: your entries must be no larger than 200 x 200 pixels and 1 MB, and must be SFW. Each entrant may enter up to three avatars. The contest will be open for entries for about a week. Please identify the source that your image is from, as well as what characters/locations/objects are being reunited.

Please note: we still have to be mindful of spoiler rules, so images from Picard season three, or any other production that hasn't passed the six-month spoiler window, are not allowed.

Have fun! :techman:

Does it have to be from the actual scene with the reunion, or just the media it came from?
If it's the former, here's my entry
The three Spider-Men in Spider-Man: No Way Home

I tried to find a Gif from when Andrew Garfield or Toby Maguire first showed up, but I couldn't. If this doesn't qualify, I have a couple alternatives.

Should probably either come from the reunion scene, or at least picture whoever/whatever/wherever is reuniting, even if it isn't from the exact moment of the reunion.

Full disclosure: I am not familiar with the source movie. But if those three spider-men are reuniting, then I don't see any reason why it wouldn't count. :techman:

K meets Decker

this might be more of a meeting than a reunion,(?)
i was remembering this wrong, i thought i recall that
K was the son of Decker and Rachel, but he's not...

Sorry, @Captain pl1ngpl0ng , but if it's not really a reunion, then it wouldn't really count. I would think that a necessary component would be that at least one of the parties had to already know the other. If they're just meeting for the first time, then it wouldn't qualify.

I have seen Blade Runner 2049, but it was only once, and a few years ago, so I don't remember a lot of details, and I can't really say definitively if this is a reunion or a first-time meeting, so I'll have to leave it to you to "self-police" whether the entry fits the guidelines or not.

Also, while I'm here, I should probably mention that only the individual reunions need to be unique, not the films/shows/etc they appear in. For example, I entered one from The Force Awakens, but there were other reunions in that movie, so if anyone would like to enter any of those, including ones featuring Han, feel free!

But you said it could be a reunion from the audience's perspective, and that is the first time we've seen Dekker since the first Blade Runner.

The characters are not reuniting, but No Way Home was the first time we'd seen the Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield Spider-Mans since their last movies, Maguire in Spider-Man 3 in 2007, and Garfield in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in 2014.

Oh, so then it's an audience-perspective reunion? Sure, that's fine too, no worries!

But you said it could be a reunion from the audience's perspective, and that is the first time we've seen Dekker since the first Blade Runner.

That's a good point. That doesn't seem to be how @Captain pl1ngpl0ng was framing it, though; they indicated it was between Deckard and K.

When I was thinking of the audience-perspective reunion, I was thinking more along the situation where a character was still supposed to be "there", but was off-camera during some installments, and then was back on screen. In TNG terms, think similar to Barclay... he was presumably there toiling away on the Enterprise and interacting with the crew, but we in the audience were only reunited with him for about one episode a year.

I think the issue with saying "this is the first time we've seen Deckard since the first Blade Runner" is that... Blade Runner 2049 is only the second Blade Runner movie. So that would seem to me to be too broad an interpretation, since it basically opens it up to any character returning for a direct sequel being counted as a reunion. (This is a different situation than your own entry, where, according to Wikipedia, there were four Spider-Man movies without Tobey Maguire and two Spider-Man movies without Andrew Garfield before the audience was reunited with them in No Way Home.)

All that said, this is supposed to just be a fun contest, so I don't really want to go all rules-lawyer here. I already left it to @Captain pl1ngpl0ng to self-regulate whether the entry counts or not, so I'll just roll with whatever he decides. :)

Good morning, i will find an other reunion as i didn't really remembered the movie lol:)

Are we allowed to post stuff from the last couple episodes of Picard, or is that too spoilery?
