Spoilers Star Trek: Picard General Discussion Thread

My cameo prediction is Bob Picardo. I'm also thinking all the Janeway hints are heading somewhere.
They have to be careful using characters from a children’s show in a series that says naughty words and has excessive violence in it like heads being chopped off.

Janeway can be in the new show after Picard, which I think will be more targeted at a general all age audience to make it a main stream event series.

But as for Picard season 3, I’m going for the EMH, I’m hoping for Quark and Kira if they visit DS9. If Pah Wraiths are involved then Dukat… perhaps he is the hand? I doubt we will see Dukat without Sisko though, that can be a TV/streaming movie.

All other characters are welcome to be in the next series set in the 25th century hopefully, if they *want* to come back and feel that their characters still have a story to tell of course. :D

My brother is the parent of a nine-year-old and he won't let her watch Picard. Any responsible parent will be able to keep their kids from watching until they think they're ready. My brother told my niece she can watch DS9 when she's 10. Parental Controls. It's not like when we were kids.

Meaningless to the TNG nostalgia fest.
Well I was hoping that Dal could be one of the bridge crew on Seven of Nine’s first command. It would be a good cameo introduction to the live action character version of Dal if we saw him briefly in Picard season 3, a bit like when Rebecca Romijin showed up on Disco as Number One for Strange New worlds. The Prodigy staff have said that if Dal is ever to appears in live action then they would like him to still be portrayed by Brett Gray, and I agree!

It's not her command, Dal has no connection to the TNG crew.
I meant for the new series. Obviously Dal does not serve on the Titan. Picard will be passing the torch to a new series hopefully, another ‘the next generation’ unless this is ‘the last generation’?

Then let it rest then, obviously Star Trek has become too over saturated and the franchise is in need of a hiatus.
It doesn't need to rest. I'm fine with it continuing without me. I'm jumping off after PIC Season 3, I'm cancelling my Paramount+ subscription in five weeks, and am only coming back for DSC Season 5 next year.

I'll pick and choose what I want to watch. I was happy with one Star Trek show. Instead we got five. I ended up becoming a fan of two. But other Trekkies have different tastes than me, so it's fine. Unlike some other people (not you), I don't want shows ending just because I'm not a fan of them.

Seven of Nine didn’t have a connection either…until she did.

but really, the reason they probably won’t show Dal, Mariner, Boimler, Rok, etc… is because it messes with the other shows. Even if it’s coordinated it may lock the other writing teams into directions they may want to deviate from later on.
