Variety makes Trek tick, not uniformity.
No. Have this style and move on to a new one.Unique from the other shows on right now, and it would be a nice addition to the current blend if they made more! To
You realize I could very well just say the same thing to you. You had your style, now move onto this new one (Pic S3). Why can't both co-exist?No. Have this style and move on to a new one.
And what is my style? You realize I could very well just say the same thing to you. You had your style, now move onto this new one (Pic S3). Why can't both co-exist?
To paraphrase Satisfaction
"But, he can't be a fan 'cause he doesn't like
The same Star Trek as me"
"The best" comes across as deification.
When I talk the best I do not use it to bash the work of others.I don't think it does... If I said someone is the best person for the job, I'd just mean I couldn't think of anyone else better qualified. Godhood needn't come into it.
Have you seen THE MAGICIANS? I haven't, but it would be interesting to hear from a Henry Alonso Myers as a showrunner fan how they approached seasons, did they stick the landing? The people running SNW should be in charge of everything for the foreseeable future. Including the goddamn movies.
Period, full stop.
Like I said, you should take a break. You're lashing out now, insulting people left and right.
He was only showrunner for the first couple episodes of Season 2. He handed it off the Akiva to focus on Season 3 pre-production.Since Terry did S2 of picard
It's a bit rich to argue numbers for a particular perspective from a newly-created account focused specifically on shilling Matalas' work. If the season was indeed so strong, there are plenty of existing accounts here to shout its praises and call for him to stay on.
Winning over some loud social media users says zero about wider appeal, and there's nothing to suggest this season is any more popular in terms of viewership than previous seasons despite the intended big draw of the TNG reunion.
Why are you here then?So TrekBBS is a more effective metric of 'wider-appeal' than social media?
Indeed. Much of the petition leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and the reactions and laughing at fans with concerns does little to help impress upon me the accepting atmosphere of this new vision of Trek.Personally, Terry hanging out with the "bros" on those youtube channels that have been insulting fans and his new colleagues for years and have spouted sexist comments has left a bad taste in my mouth so I will not be signing the petition.
