Screencap of tweet I found from a rep, from the company that made the Saints Row Reboot... Holy hell. The tweet was response to fans who voiced opinions saying that they did not like the reboot, the characters or what the game was like.

That's a difficult one, as I've often heard that the Saints Reboot itself felt out of touch with current day and is likely one of the reasons why it didn't hit as they'd hoped. All that aside from bugs, of course.
All true but this persons response seems a bit out of control and other things she's said online made it even worse.
Some context for those not as familiar with the this game title? "Terrorist behavior" is an odd turn of phrase, at best.
Because some hard core fans of the reboot made vocal their opinions and did not like the reboot of the Saints Row universe so Steph took offense to that and called them terrorists because of heir behaviour online.... I mean if you are going to reboot a series that has long running fans at least do something they might like and not go completely out of left field.
Having said that I like the Saints Row games so I will have to check this out when it eventually lands on steam and form my own opinion. I won't be swayed by online drama.

Well on a positive he got what he asked for and no one bought the game, so a win win for everyone involved. Lol
Yes but I still would like to buy this game once it reaches Steam. I would like to form my own opinion on whether or not it is bad and not just follow along with the rabble.

Calling people "terrorists" because they express displeasure with a commercial product (even if they advocate a boycott thereof) is rather in the same vein as equating a derisive term for an artificial construct with an ethnic slur like "the n-word."
I remember something similar happening with the writer/director of Days Gone, who went on a rant about "woke" reviewers being the reason behind its Meteoritic score being lower than expected. Then he went off on another one about "cheap" gamers who didn't buy the game at full price.
Oh don't worry people are also blaming Epic Games for throwing bags of money they call China money at studios to make their games exclusives for a 12 month period so no other platforms can have them. According to some of the screaming rabble Epic is funded by China money
I can only assume these games devs have been reading the book "How to make consumers not buy your games" by Cliff Bleszinski. lol
Yeah, it's along the same lines as certain unnamed directors going off on their fanbase for voicing legitimate criticism and painting them with broad strokes. "My movie's good, Mmmmkay! All of you who dislike it must be !%#&" Well, I'm paraphrasing. Once they bottom out like this, it becomes impossible to have legitimate discussions. It's at this point where I would put my money where my mouth is and wonder if I really want to support such a director or developer.

Difficult to judge if you don't know the specific comments they were referring to. Gamers can be a very toxic bunch, and the amount of online abuse and threats that game developers and journalists get is unreal. Often full of racism, misogyny, homophobia and transphobia. But they'll always tell you they just criticised the game.
Of course it's possible that the comment hit people that weren't of that sort and didn't deserve it. That's certainly not great. However still, considering how much abuse they get, to some extent I can understand if someone snaps.

It’s a shame when directors lose their minds in such a manner because there’s always so many good people who work hard on any project and they’re just spoiling the efforts of other people with their gibbering nonsense.
When I saw the thread title I assumed the thread would be about Square insisting you don't call Final Fantasy XVI a JRPG.
That's just kind of a weird thing to say. It's like a person who enjoys Star Trek insisting you don't call them a Trekkie. Acting like 'JRPG' has a negative connotation just because gaming dudebros mock the anime themes, when Square's audience has never thought it had a negative connotation.
