According to the Star Trek Picard Logs on Instagram, they mention the "late Altan Soong" meaning he died sometime between Picard Season 1 (2399) and Picard Season 3 (2401).
Terry said season 3 takes place in 2401. Frontier Day is celebrating the 150th anniversary of the launch of the NX-01Picard Season 3 has got to be later. Raffi's grandchild looks at least Kindergarten-aged by S3, and wasn't even born in S1.

My two initial reactions based on sound and outfits was The aliens in Schism, but I seriously doubt they would go there. The other was the Breen even if the sound and costumes are different.I'm surprised no one has speculated that those weird masked aliens that comprise Vadic's crew might be Breen.
Not that I think they are, but it would fit with the Dominion War tie-in, and since the Breen look was always just their suits, it's pretty easy to modernize them with a new design.
That might be how we see Commodore La Forge, although he's supposed to be with the Fleet Museum right?Star Fleet will be wondering why the Titan had change course. They will be sending a starship or a group of starships to investigate.
Early reviews said that the episodes are grouped into 4 episode arcs.
If I recall my math classes correctly that adds up to ten...There are only ten episodes.
Exciting. People talking about this is like people talking about a 'Pike on the Enterprise' show before DSC Season 2 had even finished! The press has latched onto Matalas's Star Trek: Legacy idea:
If I recall my math classes correctly that adds up to ten...![]()
No one here can see the future. There’s no way to answer these questions.Ok...so here is the only important question for me right now:
Should I stop watching the show before the writers ruin my new favorite character? (its shaw)
How much confidence do we have that the writers know that this show desperately needet an antagonistic allie, who is right and shows us the flaws of the main characters? Will Picard be the new Burnham who was too often right despite acting selfcentered? Or will this turn out to be better?
Will shaw be Shran? Or will he become Dukat?
IIRC the early reviews suggested that both Episodes 4 and 6 ended with pretty dramatic turns which marked logical breaking points in the narrative.
