The fact that Beverly and Picard have apparently four other relationships we didn't know about!

Possibly through TNG!

Oh please...they were on again, off again all through the 7 seasons on TNG. No it was never explicitly shown or outright stated, but there were more than a few episodes where it was somewhat obvious.

Although is Picard never wanted kids; and Beverly knew it was 'over' even during their last night together; given 24th century medical technology, the fact that NEITHER of them seemed to use Birth Control of some type...:wtf:

They didn't seem to have one before Season 7 "Attached" though. Assuming this happened immediately afterwards and up through Nemesis, that puts them at about a relationship every 2 years (5 relationships between 2370 and circa 2380) :p

The biggest revelation is that the Copy of Picard is not all that good a starship operator anymore. Plus he was being kinda rude to Riker about the topic of Loss...

He isn't a copy.
I'm not going through this with you again. Lol We had the same conversation 2 years ago. I gave you the direct dialogue from the episode about his scanned and mapped brain.....original biological Picard Ceases to exist. I wish they would have transplanted his original brain into the synth with a replacement part or something. Lol

Portal juice and guns exist in Star Trek!

This actually blows the Spore Drive away. The universe is wide open!

We don't know how far the range for the portal weapon is.

And you were wrong then, and still wrong now. Riker even says in this episode that he's still the same person.

Narratively he's presented as the same person just with an android body. The story makes it clear that he's not a copy.

Psh, if you say so. Never once has Trek had someone's consciousness transferred to another person's body before. Let alone an android's, or a holodeck program, or...

Dammit, I was going to do a big long post but this is exactly the witty response I'd want to make.

But as an addendum: Star Trek breaks down on the magic science if you start believing the transporters kill people and Janice Lester just brainwashed Kirk into thinking he's a woman.

Picard also never ever existed in the computer as a digital P before, not evar.

But yes, we know in-canon that Picard transferred his consciousness into the machine (which is a thing in Star Trek) because he met Data in the weird Virtual Reality universe before the latter's suicide.

Here's the thing. I don't think consciousness by itself is wholly the person. I think some genetic material still needs to remain.
That's why when Kirks was in Janice Lester's body it still was not 100% Kirk....like the Trills it's not the actual person but remnants of what they once were....

The only place in the body through are lifetimes that ORIGINAL cells remain is the brain. Picard no longer has his brain...

Riker has an opinion, you have an opinion. "same person" doesn't mean "not a copy", just that Riker doesn't see a difference.
