Terry has said every returning character has a reason for being in the show, they don’t just show up for cameo sake.

Maybe just me but I got shades of "Logan" when Picard said "This is utterly humiliating....." during the bunk bed scene.

To me it reminded me of the time Picard and Data had to share quarters on a Klingon ship in "Unification."

I still think Picard, season 2 really missed out on showing a weakened Q navigating 2024 L.A.. Maybe the assumption was he was saving his abilities for when he really needed them? Like when he visited Guinan but then couldn't vaporize her? Or how deflated he appeared when we see him sitting in the chateau, until he finally stands? Looks like seconds to us, but maybe is centuries to him?

Q should have been by Picard's side, throughout. Still depowered. Perfect 'odd couple' chemistry and just so entertaining to see them on screen sparring. Instead Q quickly gets sidelined and ends up feeling undeveloped. Picard and Q's last scene together was magic though, I'll concede to that.

First my brain took "To all the girls I've loved before" and made it "Of all the Soongs, what's left is Lore".
Seconds - Would Lore be considered one of the "weapons" stolen from the Daystrom Station? I mean, I would consider him a weapon of mass destruction. Maybe when they raid wherever the weapons might be, they find him. That would be a kick in the pants for all involved.

According to the audio log on the Star Trek instagram, Lore is stored at a Daystrom space station along with bunch of other Soong stuff. The stolen tunneling weapon was also stored at a Daystrom station, so yeah it could be the same one.

Waiting for Star Trek: Legacy (aka Picard spin-off)

Terry Matalas and the season 3 cast of Star Trek: Picard (including a number of TNG vets) have made no secret about their pitch for a spin-off series, likely starring Jeri Ryan as the captain of the USS Titan. Other members of the season 3 cast would carry over into the new show (like Michelle Hurd, Ed Speleers, Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut, and Mica Burton) as series regulars, with some of the TNG vets (along with new legacy actors) popping in for guest spots and recurring roles.

According to the Star Trek Picard Logs on Instagram, they mention the "late Altan Soong" meaning he died sometime between Picard Season 1 (2399) and Picard Season 3 (2401).
