The more I rewatch the first two episodes, the more I realize that this season seems to have a movie-like quality to it and I love it.

This would be an absolute garbage plot twist. However, we know Vadic isn't Moriarty from BTS info.
- Daniel Davis has said that his scenes as moriarty took one day to film which means his role is very small and most likely limited to a few scenes in one episode.
- Matalas has said that Vadic's motivations stem from sympathetic reasons and there is a connection to the Dominion War. No one on the Enterprise D gave a shit about putting Moriarty in a holobox and Moriarty has no connection to the Dominion War.
Davis has described his return as a different kind of Moriarty who is linked to the first time Riker and Data meet in Encounter at Farpoint. My guess is that this Moriarty is a creation of Lore and part of his story this season.
Okay, coming back to this I should have just said lower register or something along those lines. I could have phrased it better, and I can't edit my comment. Thanks for pointing it out.

Has anyone noticed the homage to the Refit Enterprise on the Eleos?
Looks like a hint of the officers lounge up where the bridge would normally be. Looks almost like the took the 1701-A bridge, turned it 180° and added the lounge.

Seriously though, yeah. It was an off-hand gag that lasted all of 5 seconds, not something to lose one's rag over. It's not like Riker and Picard had a laugh about it and said 'yeah, our ship was fat as fuck!'.
The TOS Enterprise once got called an old rust bucket and a garbage scow and we all cheered when Scotty answered those challenges.
