gave it a 5. solid meh.

some stuff happened on a ship. over- the-top Bobba Fettte in the st-2009 looking mining ship cackles a lot, and her ship is loaded with awesomeness. No one can beat her ship in the universe. Her tank is fight. Shaw questions Seven's commitment to Sparklemotion, Riker reminds Picard about that time Picard intercoursed Bev and since that kid has mysterious britishench accent, it must be his son, mais non?

Raffi keeps stumbling onto the set of Bladerunner, smokes a space-fatty, and finally meets either Worf, the worlds worst handler, or an oompaloompa. Possibly all three, or two out of three, take your pick. The end.

Why did I do this to myself? I knew they'd let me down. They did it the last two seasons but it usually takes an episode a few more episodes. They're letting me down gently. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good.

Y'all remember how Star Trek people used to be able to check someone's DNA in literally seconds?
Except when they don't. Trek tech always the needs of the plot.

Ah, SORAS (Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome). One of the funniest tropes, IMO. :D
Yep. Birth to high School in five years.
Ok, fine. It practically and effectively breaks the fourth wall, in that it immediately ejects a viewer from the episode and makes them think of real world production.
Still not breaking the fourth wall effectively or other wise. I think breaking the suspension of disbelief might be the term you want. But I don't see why a curse word would cause that.

I can understand the notion of the profanity taking one out of the moment, given that it was never present in TNG. That being said, when TOS made the jump to the big screen (TWOK and on) its use of profanity increased quite a bit as well.

When Kirk advised Picard not to accept a promotion, Picard had already maintained his captaincy for decades. He never needed Kirk's advice. Kirk was projecting his own issues onto a guy he'd just met.

Shoulda been Picard asking, "So why did you let them promote you?"

Lost it's luster to whom? To me, Raffi's assignment makes it apparent that it could be really fun, especially with Yeoh on board. If S31 is considered "a laughing stock" then it works in their favor because no one will take them seriously and they can operate however they want. Far from taking the luster away it has made it that much more appealing.
To the audience. Going from badass secret organization to jobbing for the Romulans and a Ferrengi throwaway line is something.

Some physics problem I see.. When the ship broke apart when it hit the titan.. 30 minutes later pieces were still hanging around..
Wouldn't they have .. Well left the scene? The shrike put it into motion, it bounced off the shields going every which way.. No piece should have hung around.

I think you need to look at the Naranda again, because in no ways does it.
I think you need to look at a ship that doesn't look like the Nerada so you can see what a ship that doesn't look like the Nerada looks like and then you will come to an epiphany, that this ship is .. what were we talking about? The shrike looks like the mining ship

The real issue is that no one wants to think about what music sounds like 400 years from now. It's the same reason that all Star Trek characters are 20th century movie buffs but haven't seen a movie or holodeck adventure made in 2300. lol
It's sounds like this

Admirals have four 4 pips too. Two sets of them, sure, but not five.
In S1 and in Prodigy, they only have 1 pin, and Jack might not be perfectly familiar with the pins anyway.

I am a bit confused by the behavior of her relatives. I always assumed that Raffi first became addicted because no one believed her that Romulans were responsible for the Synth Uprising and these forces caused her to lose her security clearance and her family to subsequently abandon her . Actually, her son should apologize to her. She was right and was also rehabilitated after the events of season one.
I totally agree, but there was one poster who was completely on her son's side, so such people exist :D

Beverly never told you what happened to your father.

No Jack.

I am your father.
Vader was on display at the premiere, but turned away and in a corner :D

There were a couple Vger ish sounds. The one most obvious was when the Shrike chases the Titan into the nebula at the end. The other is closer to the 2/3 mark of the episode.
I only heard the awful Inception trailer instrumental farts whenever the ship appeared :ack:

They did add parallel lines to the inside of Ferengi ears that weren't there between 1987 and 2001. I think that's a nod to the Ferengi makeup seen in the 32nd century on DSC.
I still think one of his grandparents could've been a Vorta. The Disco makeup was totally different.

Love the little tap on the shoulder Picard gives him.
Returning the double tap Shaw gave Riker before ;)

Do you think there will ever come a day when Starfleet mandates that all starships travel in pairs?
Holding nacelles :adore:
