A son! Where did he come from? This puts the show and movies into a new light. Now we know why Beverly was gone for a year.

"Aided by Seven of Nine and the crew of the U.S.S. Titan, Picard makes a shocking discovery that will alter his life forever – and puts him on a collision course with the most cunning enemy he’s ever encountered. Meanwhile, Raffi races to track a catastrophic weapon – and collides with a familiar ally." - TrekMovie.com

Sounds to me like Vadic is organized, well-connected, and has things going on through multiple fronts.

Vadic is
interesting, a very different villain.
Great scenes with
Shaw.
Powerful reunion scene,
all without words, just faces.
Maybe half the posts will be about
the alien re-re-design,
the other half about those powerful scenes :D
It's another ten!

So, to quote Patrick Stewart in another series, "It's too late, I've already seen everything!"

I'm going to head into this from a different angle.

Last week, I watched all the TOS Movies right before the season premiere to see how well it flowed and if PIC Season 3 felt in any way like a TOS Movie. Other than presumably being filmed digitally, the color-grading, and the fact that it has a different cast, I think it passed the test as well as it could. Going from TUC to PIC Season 3 didn't feel jarring to me. I felt like it blended in with the TOS Movies if they were to have suddenly started up again in 2023. All the TOS Movies were different from each other in some way and the differences here (besides the different cast) were no more than that.

This week, I'm going to re-watch all the TNG Movies to see how well PIC Season 3 rolls off of those.

I rewatched Undiscovered Country last weekend. It was interesting hearing some of the same language and notifications when departing from spacedock.

I'm glad we get a new episode because it's felt like a month since last week. So many discussions and speculations, it was like the first day of school. Time to start settling into a routine and watching this season develop.

Does anyone know if episode 1 was up an hour earlier on the Amazon prime paramount channel in the USA ?
