And the Next Cancelled Show is...

Long suspected, now officially confirmed - Avenue 5 won't be back for a third season.

 

@Midnight is going to flop so hard. Just cheap entertainment. That was a product of it's time and Hardwick said he voluntarily chose to end it.

 

Unacceptable!

 

I heard they wanted to make it more political and he wanted to keep it more or less the same.

 

I don't watch the show. I just know what he said. Apparently they put more politics into it last year because of the election but that's not the show he wanted to do.

 

That's unfortunate. I really enjoyed that crazy, wacky, insane show. A pity especially since it ended on another cliffhanger.

 

Uncancelled: Uncoupled. Netflix aired season one but cancelled the series, but season two is being picked-up by Showtime.

 

It wasn't funny, but Neil was charming.

It should have been sold/cut as a drama.

 

I liked the avenue5 first season but season 2 was meh...

 

Imagine making a sitcom set today, but all the jokes are about Reagan and Barry Goldwater.

 

I hadn't realised there had been a second season.

Unless season two had improved immeasurably, I don't think it's loss will negatively impact my quality of life.

 

I'm not surprised on Avenue 5. I don't think it got much in terms of promotion. The only way I ever found out about it was via word of mouth.

 

It had the best one-liner of the year: “Shit me a houseboat!”

 

Hell no. Cunk on Earth is brilliant. Philomena Cunk, not so much.

 

No the show's fine just that title.

 

Not being familiar with the comedian in question, my first thought on seeing the title was, "What on earth is that??" On its own, it really isn't very appealing. I think it only really works if you have familiarity with the comedian.
