*hugs* I totally understand. My birthday's tomorrow and I'm bouncing between like 12 different moods.
Have you ever been called narrow minded for not accepting that person's narrow mindedness? Got called a bigot once.... for not caring about a sports team that wasn't in my state.
Happy Birthday @CommanderTroi I was just reminded of a random thing that happened to me several times a few years ago. I apparently have a doppleganger in town, because a few years ago I had several people all approach me and ask if I went to a different high school from the one I actually went to, because they thought I looked like someone they went there with.
I was telling my former favorite son about my poor friend who has advanced dementia and how his family is trying to find a care facility for him. I told my son that I really didn't want to be a burden for my kids and he said, "Too late". I chased him, but he got away.
I don't care about sports at all... I can only imagine what that makes me! I normally try not to extend birthday wishes if the person has expressed any ambivalence about the birthday. But in this case, other people have extended wishes, and you have seemed OK with it, so I will join the group and say "Happy Birthday!" too. Hopefully it ended up being a good day for you.
What about if Spock and Kirk swapped bodies? What if Leonard Nimoy had to play James T. Kirk and William Shatner had to play Spock?
If Trek never did another bodyswap episode ever again, I'd be pretty much OK with that. It was kinda funny with Spock and T'Pring on SNW but I'm not in a hurry to see any more.
Well, they did have a body swap episode, but it wasn't comedic, and it was terrible. It also wasn't Kirk/Spock.
You know what's funny, I haven't ever watched that episode properly but I saw a bit on TV a few months back and I was actually getting into it. I feel like when I do watch it I'll probably enjoy it.
