I'm not a fan of the Modok suit(the look got leaked by accident when a Funko Pop! of the Quantumania Modok got shown in an image) but it's cool he's finally showing up in live action. I'm ready for this film.

Mannnnn, Luis recapping the five years between the Snap and the Blip would have been worth the price of admission by itself.

My son said that they should have a Luis “Previously on…” bit in the cinema before every MCU film now. My cousin said they thought they should take it another step and have Korg and Luis telling each other the stories.

Luis/Michael Pena narrating the MCU is a pipedream for me for years, ever since he started his style of storytelling in Ant Man. A Previously on segment would be even more hilarious or a TL : DR special segment in the end credits of each movie - anything, just more Luis please ( and can you imagine Chris Evans or Downey Jr. cameos speaking Luis lines!

This talk about the dead Celestial being the source of Adamantium and maybe the origin of Krakoa, it reminds me of an old idea cooked up for tying the Phoenix Force to the Infinity Stones.

The Phoenix Force in the comics (after all the retcons) is that it's some Primal force from the dawn of time, similar to how the Infinity Stones are supposed to be fragments of the Big Bang. Raw Creation power.

Theory was to have the Phoenix be a byproduct of the Infinity Stones. Everytime a Stone was used, there was always a release of power. Excess energy, the "Nuclear Waste" to the Stones "Nuclear Power".

Over the Millions of years that the Stones were found and used, more and more "Infinity Byproduct" energy was released until it all coalesced together in space into something. The Phoenix Force. The "Child" of the Infinity Stones.

I don't know if the Stones and the Phoenix have any connection in the comics though.

However they start to introduce the X-Men elements into the MCU it will certainly make sense in continuity and quite possibly completely different from the comics.By this time they surely have mapped out at least the intro elements and i expect the Multiverse Finale to blow the door wide open for the X-Men.

MODOK looks cool. I just can't muster up any enthusiasm for the movie overall, between loathing Ant-Man & The Wasp and finding Lily to be a giant asshole this will probably be the first "important to the MCU in general" MCU movie that I'll only watch begrudgingly, and only for the Kang stuff. Its definitely a "wait for Disney+" film for me, although I am glad we're getting a character as crazy as MODOK in the MCU, and I'm wondering if we'll end up getting some kind of Young Avengers team down the line with Ant-Man's kid, Hawkeye 2, etc.

How the hell did the Golden Globes become a thing again? They were rightfully cast to the trash heap a few years ago when their myriad of scandals and lack of legitimacy finally broke into the public consciousness. But this year, suddenly, they're everywhere again.

Wow. This is an impressive work. This is, essentially, the story so far. A complete chronological recap of the MCU. It took me 3 days, but I watched the entire 5-hour video and was very impressed with the attention to detail. Events such as those depicted in "Fury's Big Week" are broken down appropriately in chronological order. Things like starting Doctor Strange before Civil War and ending it after Civil War, in order to appropriately convey the time that passed in that movie. Timing the endings of Spider-Man No Way Home and the beginning of Hawkeye together. Seeing Kamala and her family in 1947 before seeing the events play out again in the 2025. Lots of other examples.

There is one glaring error that he makes several times and he owns up to in the comments with intention to correct it in The Phase 5 update. He repeatedly refers to Sharon Carter as Peggy Carter's "daughter". Uhg.

Other than that, I feel he should have included Loki pretending to be DB Cooper in 1971, Bucky being freed from his Hydra mind control as depicted in Falcon and Winter Soldier and placed before Infinity War and a snippet from the magnificent "what is grief?" scene from WandaVision placed before Civil War. Other than that, this provides a pretty complete narrative of the MCU so far.

He only includes the stuff done by Marvel Studios for the theaters and Disney Plus, which is understandable. However, I wonder if the events from Daredevil Born Again will require him to at least include the events from Daredevil in future updates. He does, however, believe that the Netflix, ABC, Hulu etc shows are all canon as well. Just not part of the main narrative.

Hollywood can't resist celebrating itself

Angela Basset is a brilliant actress but in Wakanda she overacted her scenes in my opinion, still happy for her.
