PIC scene at 28:48 International Ready Room videos like on startrek.com should have it around the same time index. https://www.startrek.com/videos/kate-mulgrew-ready-room-picard-preview The Kurlan Naiskos - we also see the ready room desk chips and his TNG uniform briefly. It's Spoiler Beverly who's calling, IIRC.
the computer lists off a stardate for the communicator, it starts with 4115, which are the first 4 digits of Encounter at Farpoint's Stardate. Guess it could be giving the date of when he first took possession of the badge, with the launch of the Enterprise-D, but who knows.
90something Picard: Has a 5-minute conversation with his home computer because he REALLY doesn't want to check that voice mail.
More than 30 years old is also more than 20 years old... But yes, if it dates back to the stardate indicated (season 1 of TNG), then it should be about 37ish years old.
Thanks for posting the new Picard clip. I can't wait to finally getting to watch season 3 at long last.
Hey, I'm with Picard when it comes to the passage of time. When I think of "20 years ago", I don't think of "2003". Sorry, but that just feels wrong to me. As far as I'm concerned, "20 years ago" is more like "1993". To quote Sulu, "You're absolutely right, but you're also absolutely wrong." EDITED TO ADD: But, more seriously, it could be a flashback scene that takes place in the 2380s, in which case that would line up. And they've done it before. Who knows? They used to have those types of flashbacks all the time in Season 1 before the opening credits.
That was a bit redundant for about 90 seconds of screen time. I suspect even a casual viewer would get that the badge was old without being told so three or four different ways. But maybe that's going to be important later and needed to be hammered home. Regardless, I'm along for the ride - might as well see this through to the end.
Human-esque i would say considering his original body died and his conciousness got transferred into an android/Golem
