  • No, that's just horrible, Deanna is a sweet angel, there's no way she'd be that petty and malicious!

Guy Gardener

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
The Outcast.

Will gets a boner for an alien.

Will asks his fiance Deanna if she is at all bothered that he's bringing in some alien strange to live with him, and sleep beside him, and rub his shoulders after a tough day?

Deanna not being a petty person, gives the person that she is telepathically pair bonded with for eternity permission to go out side their betrothal and bang this alien he's known for 15 minutes, assuring beardo that she is "totally cool" with him making her a cuck.

Will is tone deaf to the questions he is asking.

Deanna could have easily have been a seething fountain of rage pent to explode from the unfettered gall of this asshole come to make sure that she isn't slighted that he's finally given up on their star crossed love...

Troi had to have called the J'Naii, and told them to get their house in order, and get rid of this little s*** who was interfering in her 20 year plan to bag Will Riker and make his babies.

It's at least possible?

How many other of Will's relationships did Dee sabotage?

Sure.

And after the Enterprise was on its way out of the system, Riker secretly beamed a low yield photon torpedo into the courthouse that sentenced Soren to her 1984 style "I Love Big Brother" brainwashing, blowing the building and all of the smug arrogant "we just want to help Soren" scumbags in it to kingdom come.

You have your fantasies, I have mine. :nyah:

The J'naii judge played a Romulan on Deep Space Nine. So either the J'naii are infiltrating the Star Empire, or the Star Empire infiltrated the J'naii.

So the whole thing was probably a Trap somehow.

If Troi hadn't, then Q snapped his fingers and wiggled his nose.

Were they betrothed at that time? 'Cause Riker slept around quite a bit in the series (more than Kirk, I think, as there are only 3 verifiable times on TOS, plus Carol Marcus in the movies).

So Riker basically cheated on her for years, not to mention she cheated on him, plus going along with that ridiculous arranged marriage to Wyatt Miller? And neither called the other on it?

Sorry, but that hypothesis doesn't appear to be supported by what we saw onscreen.

Riker thought they were over, until this episode when he gave Deanna a mental health check, before cutting a spare key for Soren. Although they would only be allowed to live on the flagship permenantly, if they were married. Its a question of security.

If you do Imzadi right, it is forever, and Dee committed to Will forever, even if he's too culturally insensitive and ignorant to realise the intensity of her vow.

If you do it right: Two full telepaths bolting their brains together, Imzadi is like bugging and tracking your spouse 24/7.

Unfortunately Will and Dee are both gimps, and Will didn't read the handbook, so they are expressing a broke down half assed lemon version of Imzadi where he doesn't feel how much she loves him, all the time.

But she probably feels all his thoughts, and monitors his love making.

I believe it, Deanna scheming to sabotage all of Will's romances makes sense.
She didn't seem to care about Elector Beata in "Angel One." She and Tasha had a good laugh over the dumb clothing Riker wore for his sleepover "date" with her.

To be fair, someone probably should. Anytime the guy gets a little flirty they all either end up getting taken over by an addictive game, he blows the lid off 1st contact protocol, someone ends up dead or he causes some kind of political incident

I wouldn't be surprised if the real reason he'd gotten locked up on Tilonus IV in Frame of Mind was because he'd been chasing some tail down there.

Jesus, Lwaxana's more responsible in her relationships. Makes me wonder what tragedy must've befallen the poor lady whose feet he washed

Not much. She's human, after all.
Picard forced Brenna to marry 3 men, and have sex with those 3 men, who had zero sex drive, and hid from her, so it was up to Brenna to perpetuate the human race by yelling and nagging and cajoling these boys into pulling their pants down and taking care of business.

Maybe a chore wheel would have helped?

Imzadi means soul mate, so it probably means fiance.
It means "beloved", and the two share a telepathic bond, but it's not any kind of official marriage arrangement or anything. Will and Deanna had been each other's Imzadi while she was simultaneously engaged to be in an arranged marriage with a human (the son of her father's best friend) named Wyatt Miller (played by T-Bag from Prison Break), which she had hoped would never happen, never told Will about (although she called him "Bill" in the episode since it was still working out the first season kinks) and had tried to avoid by taking a deep space assignment.

Wyatt/T-Bag on the other hand had been having premonitions of a beautiful woman, and then suddenly she appeared for real aboard an approaching Tarrellian plague ship, and he decided he'd rather go on the plague ship he could never leave rather than get married, so Deanna lucked out there. Plague for the win.

I've read two novels by Peter David called Imzadi.

The novels made it out to be an imprinting, and a promise.

Novels are not Canon.

Of course if Deanna can "feel" Will across Light years, what about Thomas Riker?

Either she can't feel her soulmate hundreds of parsecs away, or she had always known that Will had a Transporter Clone, and she was keeping him safe were he was, in storage, just in case something happened to the real Will.

Actually, most of the eligible men were Bringloidi like Brenna, and probably happy to go at it with her. The clones, since they had little sexual interest and Beverly said they were basically walking dead due to 15 generations of genetic drift, were best used strictly for training the Bringloidi and their offspring to use computers and replicators instead of spinning wheels and potheen stills.
