Well it doesn't surprise me that WB decided to torpedo themselves after getting everyone's hopes up with "Blue Beetle"
Still can't work out how that one survived while 'Batgirl' died.

I thought he was quite good in Mission Impossible: Fallout
Not sure how true it is, but from the IGN article, it sounds like there's a chance that this could end up being a more or less clear slate reboot. Or at least the end of current actors tenures as these characters.
I don't see the problem with that. He's fantastic in those films. The funniest part will be if Cavill finds himself left with no jobs other than Enola Holmes movies.
Good God. While THR frames a lot of this as rumor, they're not one to report stuff based on bullshit Twitter or Reddit randos. Their "rumors" are coming from industry sources, no doubt. This sounds like total scorched earth. And just when I had finally started to come 'round to Cavill, and was actively looking forward to his return ....Wonder Woman 3 is dead. The Great Reset has begun.

Lots more less substantiated stuff in that article too. None of it good news for fans of the currently existing DCU if true.
I call shenanigans.
Well, reading the article carefully, the only thing confirmed by "multiple sources" is that WW3 isn't happening in its current form. Which might just mean the treatment Jenkins & Geoff Johns turned in didn't fit into Gunn & Safran's plan. It doesn't even mean there won't be a WW3, it doesn't even mean Jenkins is out.
Everything else is carefully called "rumors and possible scenarios to consider". The article itself also mentions how closely Gunn & Safran are keeping their plan to their chests until the meeting with Zaszlav next week. Meaning, yeah, even the studio insiders the article's author refers to are doing a lot of guessing. And even then, the article refers to the plan being a "work in progress", so it could still change dramatically.
Nothing wrong with speculation. But it needs to be remembered that it is speculation, and not fact.
Wonder Woman 2 didn't do that well.Saul said:It kinda seems like madness if they ditched everything, especially the billion dollar hitters like Aquaman and Wonder Woman.
As much as I didn’t like that movie, between the pandemic and it’s day-1 release on HBOMAX it’s hard to judge that one fairly in terms of box office.Wonder Woman 2 didn't do that well.
Yep I'd say no Chinese release hurt the worldwide box office in a major way. That's where a lot of his films have made their money. My guess is, with the budget they banked on a Chinese release and successful run, since the Chinese audience has shown they love colorful superheroes and Dwayne Johnson. When there was no Chinese release, that hurt the movie.
Also, the timing of the release in late October hurt the movie's box office. Especially with the highly anticipated Black Panther 2 being released only two weeks later. If you look at this year's July/August/September, it was a lot less crowded with big tentpole movies, so the movie could have done way better with a release at that time.
I think people are just keen on getting an answer. Even before Gunn/Saran and Zaslav the direction of DC has never been totally clear so it’s ripe for armchair analysis and prediction.
